I was not familiar with the YSL NU makeup-skincare line. According to the brand, Nu is “A line of skincare-meets-makeup products, NU is all about enhancing, rather than covering up. As YSL puts it, the collection allows your “skin signature” — a friendly term for attributes traditionally considered flaws, such as freckles or dark circles — to shine through.” One of the products I really wanted to try is the Nu Glow In Balm. It is a skincare-meets makeup priming moisturizer, that has a good for your skin list of ingredients. What it does is help you achieve glowing skin with or without makeup. Count me in!

I love YSL for being eco-friendly where their packaging is concerned. First, the outer box is made with FSC-(Forest Stewardship Council) cardboard-that supports forest management, respecting people and nature. 
Even more the Tube is made with 40% post-consumer recycled material. And, all of this information appears on the outer box!
The formula has an extensive list of ingredients. I looked up the ingredients and how they helped the skincare aspect of the Nu Glow in Balm. Basically, many of the ingredients , such as Shea Butter, are included to soften skin, and help repair the skin barrier function. These ingredients are imperative for healthy skin. Also, the formula includes moisturizing ingredients, such as the greatest moisturizer of them all-Glycerin- that soften skin and reduce water loss from the skin barrier. As a result, it helps protect your skin from free radicals. Fatty Acids, lipids and ceramides, for a protective layer on your skin barrier. Finally, Glycerin, one of the best moisturizing ingredients, attracts water to the upper layer of your skin (your skin barrier), and works well as a humectant.
The lightweight formula hydrates skin with a non-comedogenic oil in water formula. As a result, the formula is not greasy. Instead, it nourishes your skin and won’t clog your pores. Also, the formula is infused with light-reflecting pearls, that add the “glow” in the balm! Also included in the formula, potent illuminating rosat extract. 
Rosat is also an oil that “imparts a stabilizing and rebalancing action wherever it is used. Used in skin care it can regulate the over-production of sebum with oily skin types, or stimulate more production for dry skin. Rosat Oil, known to illuminate skin, also has a powerful antimicrobial and antifungal action.
‘Ingredient Callouts: Free of parabens, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban, and triclosan’.
You can wear the Glow in Balm alone, as your daily moisturizer. Or, you can wear it under your makeup to give you a glowing look. 
It gives you a beautiful glow with a radiant finish. You can mix it in with your summer skin tint, for a more summery glow. 
And, don’t forget, this is a makeup/skincare hybrid, giving you a moisturizer, and primer that is really good for your skin, and at the same time giving your skin a radiant glow.
