New, the Tom Ford Mercurial Extreme Eyeshadow Quad, is from the Extreme Collection. Also, new Extreme Lip Sparks, released last Spring, were reintroduced with this palette. To explain, the Tom Ford Extreme Collection goes beyond his other collections. In the past, the Extreme Collection has always been badass! For one thing, the shadows were shiny or extra shiny! However, the Mercurial Extreme Eyeshadow Quad packaging is more extreme than the shadows themselves. Instead, the quad has 4 universally flattering shades inside. In other words, the Mercurial Shades are universally flattering and very wearable. Although, the Extreme Lip Sparks are the definition of extreme. The reason is the lip Sparks give you explosive color, and the look of glitter on your lips!
You can find the Tom Ford Mercurial Quad and the New Extreme Lip Sparks Shades at Sephora, and on the Tom Ford Website. Also, the Mercurial Quad (0.35 / 9.9g) costs $88. Additionally,the Tom Ford Extreme Lip Sparks in 5 new shades ( 1 oz./ 3g) cost $56.
The Packaging For The Tom Ford Mercurial Extreme Eyeshadow Quad,and Extreme Lip Sparks
To begin with, the Mercurial Extreme Quad and the Lip Sparks are packaged in signature Tom Ford Extreme packaging. Therefore the outer boxes are reflective silver. 
Then the Quad, which has a grey dust bag, is mirrored. It may look sharp, but every time you touch the compact, you leave your fingerprints all over it! 
IN this way,it doesn’t look so sharp! Also, the compact clicks closed. No magnetic closure here. Even more, the lipsticks come in reflective mirrored cases. And, the cases click closed, without a magnetic closure.
The Formula For The Mercurial Extreme Eyeshadow Quad
First, the formula for the Extreme Eyeshadows is a gel-powder hybrid. Therefore, the shadows are creamy, smooth and silky. Next, the shadows have pigments that are rich and intense. The shades look the same when applied as they do in the pan. The formula creates shadows that blend easily, are a cinch to apply, can be layered and are buildable.
Above all, the gel-hybrid formula is versatile. As a result, you can change the intensity and. finish of the shadows by using them dry or wet.
The Shades For The Mercurial Extreme Eyeshadow Quad
Again, these four shades are universally flattering, wearable shades.
Top Left Golden Champagne
First, Golden Champagne, a soft golden champagne shade with golden shimmers, has a metallic finish.
Top Right Rosy Champagne
Next, Rosy Champagne, a nude shade with a light champagne shimmer has a metallic sheen finish.
Bottom Left Plum Brown
Also, Plum Brown,a cool brown shade with a plum undertone, has a satin finish.
Bottom Right Cranberry
Last, a cranberry shadow with warm undertones, has a fine shimmery metallic finish.
The New Extreme Lip Sparks Shades
There are five new LIp Sparks shades. I purchased three of them.
Destroy, a true red shade, has a metallic finish.
Synthetica, a mauve beige shade, has a metallic finish.
Throb, a bright coral shade, has a metallic finish.
Also, the lipsticks give the look of explosive color with the look of loose glitter on the lips.
My Final Final Thoughts…..
First, if you have the Tom Ford Nude Dip ,and/ or Honeymoon palettes, you don’t need this one. The shades are pretty much the same. Otherwise, if you don’t own those palettes, then you should at least take a look at this one. Don’t let the word “Extreme” scare you.
The shades in this quad are universally flattering, and wearable shades. Also, you can wear the shades dry for a daytime look. And, if you want an intense nighttime look, wet the shades. It will not only intensify the pigments, it will also make the shades even more metallic.
ONe last thing, I am a huge fan of the Lip Sparks! They make a statement! And they are fun to wear!
