PRE-HIGHLIGHTING :A NEW MAKEUP TREND FOR 2020

MakeupTrends

I want glowing skin.  You want glowing skin!  In fact, we all want our skin to glow!!!  Why?  Because, glowing skin makes us look healthy.  Also, when our skin glows, we look younger.  Even more, you can think of glowing skin as a man magnet!  Whatever the reason, there are two ways to get glowing skin.   First, if you want natural glowing skin, you’ve got to cleanse, tone, exfoliate, and hydrate. Furthermore, you can add skin brighteners, that include Vitamin C in the ingredients, to your routine. Above all, you must be consistent.  That means, don’t even think about going to bed with all your makeup on!  And, if you still don’t glow, make an appointment with your dermatologist!  On the other hand, what if you need to glow right away!  There is a new beauty trend, and its called Pre-Highlighting.

Pre-Highlighting will give you instant natural-looking glow.  It’s a new makeup hack that will take you into the new decade!!!!

What Exactly Is Pre-Highlighting?

First of all, Pre-Highlighting is the newest “trick” that makeup artists are using to create a natural, luminescent glow.  And, it is the easiest trick in the makeup world.  Basically, Pre-Highlighting is when you create a natural looking glow, by using a liquid highlighter before you put your foundation on.

So, you had that horrible stomach bug that’s been going around.  You’ve been sick for days.  And, you still look green. (This is when my husband calls me a sea hag!) However, you are gong out tomorrow night, and you need to look great!  Even more, you bought a new outfit for the occasion.  So, What Should You Do?  Cancel?  No way!  You’ve already been cooped up for a week!  How about Pre-Highlighting Your Face?  Totally rad!!!

After you’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and moisturized your face, put on a moisturizing face primer.  I love the new one from Victoria Beckham, called Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer.  It’s amazing, and it makes your face feel really smooth and soft.

Next, and the most important part,is the  liquid highlighter.  Moreover, the highlighter should be an illuminating liquid with light reflecting pigments. A good one is Chantacaille Liquid Lumiere Highlighting Fluid. ($44) . Then, press the liquid highlighter on your cheekbones, down the center of your nose, on the center of your forehead (above your nose), your Cupid’s bow, and on the center of your chin.

Then, apply your foundation and your concealer.  Make sure to apply a thin coat of the foundation.  The reason for this is , you want the highlighter to shine through the foundation.

Last, if you want, you can apply a veil of setting powder, on top, to set the foundation.

First, you will have created a more natural-looking sheen that makes your skin look radiant!  Think of a window, that has sunlight beaming through it.  Now, add a sheer window shade on top of the window.  The sheer shade will diffuse the brightness of the sun.  Although, the sun’s light will still shine through!  That is the best way to describe the results of Pre-Highlighting.  And, you will have a natural-looking glow, post-skincare, that radiates through your foundation, concealer and setting powder!
