Surprisingly, a new palette from Kevyn Aucoin was released this week, and it isn’t the typical nude and neutral palette one would expect from the brand. Instead, Kevyn Aucoin’s limited edition Electropop Pro Eyeshadow Palette contains 12 curated high impact shades. Hence, you’ll be able to create high drama, just like the Pros. Moreover, the shades can create endless 3D chromatic eye looks and effects . The shade finishes create effects that can go from light, to sheer, to shimmer. On the other hand, you’ll also be able to create a highly metallic opaque finish.
Kevyn Aucoin Electropop Pro Eyeshadow Palette Packaging
The outer box, the first thing you see, is exciting. Electropop in itself is an exciting, electrifying name! The eyes on the box are outrageous! Wouldn’t you love to wear those electrifying eyes that pop on , let’s say, New Years Eve?
Once opened, the pallete has a nice sized mirror on top, and 12 gorgeous Electropop eyeshadow shades on the bottom.
Also, the palette is extremely travel worthy!
Kevyn Aucoin Electropop Pro Eyeshadow Palette Formula
The Electropop eyeshadows feature a range of different metallic formulas.
The formulas are beautiful blendable and buildable with little or no fallout. The formula is a very dense, cream to powder-like hybrid formula. The richly pigmented Electro-chrome eyeshadows combine the perfect balance between pop pearls and pigments. Specifically, when the pearls and pigments are combined, they create a multi-dimensional look. Also, one swipe of the fingertip, or brush, will give you great color-payoff. Moreover, the shadows’ smooth texture allows for them to glide on easily. Once on the eye, the shadows feel weightless.
The Shades And Swatches Of The Electropop Pro Eyeshadow Palette
The Electropop Eyeshadow colors are bright and richly pigmented. They have a metallic-pearl finish.
First Row 1
Light is a bright white with a shimmer finish. Beam is a yellowish-beige with a shimmer finish. Ultraviolet is a lilac shade with a shimmer finish and Charge is a bronze shade with a shimmery finish.
Second Row 2
Third Row 3
Amp is a medium turquoise shade with a shimmer finish. Impulse is a smoky blue-teal with a shimmer finish. Hardwire is a medium blue/lilac neon shade with a shimmer finish. Blackout is a dark black shade with an ever so slight shimmer finish.
Although the Electropop Palette may appear too bright and too colorful, it is refreshing to see some gorgeous shades that aren’t nude and neutral for a change! However, the colors in the top two rows can and should be worn for a daytime look. Of course, the shades in the bottom row are gorgeous colors for nighttime drama. Nevertheless, if you want a more intense color, put the Blackout shade under any of the shades.
Most important, the brand actually specifies that these maximum pigmented shadows should be applied with your fingertips. With this in mind, the easiest application is to use your fingertips and tap or pat the shadow onto your eye. However, if you prefer using a brush to apply the shadows, make sure your brush is stiff and the bristles are dense.
If you love a pop of color to go with all of your neutral palettes, Kevyn Aucoin’s makeup is luxurious and high end. Also, the formula could be one of the best metallic shimmers available on the market. It is in the same league as the Natasha Denona shadows and the Pat Mcgrath shadows.
