Chanel Tone on Tone Collection Fall/Winter 2021

Chanel Makeup Creation Studio has created a new technique for fall/winter 2021. The Collection is called Color and Light.  The look includes two best-selling products. However, the shades are new, and limited editions. One, Limited Edition, Ombre Premiere Laque, is a liquid metallic eyeshadow. The Limited Edition shades come in 4 Colors .  To create the tone on tone look, you’ll also need the Chanel Stylo Ombre Et Contour, which is three products in one.  It is an eyeliner, an eyeshadow and  kohl. Also, Stylo Ombre Et Contour, comes in four limited edition shades that complement the liquid metallic eyeshadows. In other words, matte meets shine with Chanel Tone on Tone! Finally, the Collection includes  4 color harmonies : Khaki, Brownish-Red, Champagne, and Silver-Gray.

You can find the Limited Edition Fall/Winter 2021 Ombre Premiere Laque Liquid Eyeshadow at Macy’s and on the Chanel Website.  The Limited Edition Fall/Winter 2021 Ombre Premier Laque  ( 0.20 fl. oz. / 16mL ) costs $36.  And the Limited Edition Fall/ Winter 2021 Stylo Ombre Et Contour Pen is on the Chanel Beauty Website. The Limited Edition Fall/Winter Stylo Ombre Et Contour ( 0.02 z. / 0.8g) costs $34.

Packaging For The Ombre Première Laqué and the Stylo Ombre Et Contour

The outer boxes for both products are signature Chanel shiny black boxes, with white writing.  The bottoms of both boxes are embellished with metallic gold

Next, the Longwear Liquid Eyeshadow comes in a clear tube.  I love that the tube is clear because you can see the color that is inside. Also, the tube has a twist on, twist off, lid.  In addition, the lid is also the eyeshadow applicator.

The applicator is a doe -footed sponge applicator. One side of the sponge-tip applicator is curved.  The other side of the doe foot is the shape of a triangle.  Therefore, you can apply the eyeshadow with the rounded side. And, you can use the triangular side for more details. This is because the triangle has a pointed tip, which can reach into hard to reach spaces, like the inner corners of your eyes.

Then, the Stylo Ombre Et Contour comes packaged in a shiny black pen.  Also, the pen has a lid that protects the product.  Furthermore, the backside of the pen pulls off, and it turns into a sharpener. It is nice that you have a built in sharpener.  Above the back end, is where you can twist more of the pen’s pigments up, when you need more!

Use the thin edge of the pen for precise application and the wider side for even shading.

Formulas

To begin with, the liquid eyeshadows have a light-weight, watery consistency.  They are easy to apply.  One swipe will deliver buildable color.  Also, for a soft-focus effect, use your fingertip to smudge out the liquid shadow.  In the tube, the shadows look shimmering and sparkling.  However, once dried, the shadows set down smoothly.  They have a metallic finish. Finally, the liquid shadows don’t flake or crease.  In addition, they last a long time, about 8 to 10 hours!

The Stylo Ombre Et Contour is an eyeshadow, eyeliner and kohl. It has a very creamy texture.  Therefore, it blends easily.  You can blend it with your finger, or use a brush.  It is easy to smudge if you use a smudge brush. Also it is easy to build.  The pens are very pigmented.

Ombre Premiere Laque in 33 Lame Bronze is paired with 13 Stylo Ombre Et Contour in Khaki. This look is called Khaki Harmony. First, the Lame Bronze liquid eyeshadow leaves a metallic finish, with a veil of metallic color on the eyelids.  It is buildable.  Also, it can be smudged out with either your fingertips or a brush.  This will create a soft-focus effect.  The Stylo Ombre Et Contour in Khaki, a dark Khaki green shade, has a creamy matte finish. Basically, the matte shade is your contour shade.

Next, The 35 Lame Pourpre is paired with Contour 15 Marron. This pairing creates the Red-Brown Harmony Look. Finally,  39 Lame Ivoire is paired with 19 Contour Beige to create the Champagne Harmony Look.

To create the Chanel Looks Khaki Harmony, Red-Brown Harmony, and Champagne Harmony

Step one, apply the contour- choose either (Khaki, Marron, or Beige)- to your upper lash lines, and make a thicker line at the outer corners of your eyes.

Then, use a smudge brush, and smudge the upper line.  Next, line your lower lash lines, and again, use a smudge brush and smudge the line.

Then, apply the same shade, either (Khaki, Marron, Beige) in your crease.  Then, use a brush to blend and smudge the liner.

Next, apply the pairing shade, either  (Lame Bronze, Lame Pourpre, Lame Ivoire)  all over your eyelids, and blend it in with a brush, or your fingers.

Last, apply black mascara!

The look that is described above is ,in the same way, for all three looks. Just make sure you choose the right shades for each pairing.    I only purchased three of the four Harmony colorways.  The one I didn’t purchase, Acier, is a silver grey metallic. Also, the matte contour shade should be applied first.  Then, the Metallic Lame shade can go on top , to create more dimension.  It is a great look for fall (right now) and it is still perfect for the, yet to come, winter months.
