I was ecstatic when Beautylish announced two new eye shadow palettes from Terry de Gunzburg , one of the most creative minds in the industry. She designed the entire Yves Saint Laurent Makeup Line, and invented the cult favorite , Touche Eclat before she started her own line, By Terry, which is a favorite among the women in France! And the women in Great Britain, and now, slowly becoming recognized and a favorite in the USA. Fall 2016 brings with it By Terry’s Eye Designer Palettes parti-pris in 1Forest Desire and 2Gem Experience ($58).
Forest Desire is on the left, and Gem experience is on the right. Both palettes are rich in micronized premium pigments. They are made into extra-fine powders which create Terry’s infamous soft textured formula, which makes blending them a breeze. Not only is Terry considered a genius of makeup, she is also thought of as the guru of color. Each palette contains 6 shimmering , rich shades.
1Forest Desire is the more neutral of the two palettes. The shades are more muted, and more subdued,like the shades you would see in an autumn forest when the moss on the trees begins to fade, and the leaves start to dry out and turn various shades, and even the sky begins to look dusty-blue. No vibrancy here.

2Gem Experience is more gem-toned inspired. It is also rather dark and more dramatic autumn shades.

What I love about these palettes……are these gorgeous, unusual , spot on, and innovative autumn shades. We are so used to seeing the lighter, brighter makeup from the summer, and suddenly, these shades appear and they are sooooo different, and they just scream fall! I also think these shades are incredibly dramatic. Just looking at them, I can almost smell the dark, wonderful night of fall! The formula is also gorgeous, so soft , so blendable, and super easy to apply. They are buttery, rich shimmering shades of genius from the Guru of Color! I think these colors make quite a dark, dramatic statement, like there is no fooling around here-this is it! This is Fall 2016!
