We all strive for that natural tan glow, you know the one, that looks like we were kissed by the sun. YSL’s Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stones ($55 at Neiman Marcus) do just that! They come in three gorgeous matte shades, 01 Sunstone, 02 Fire Opal, and 03 Jasper. The two I purchased were Sunstone and Fire Opal. Sunstone is perfect for right now, because my skin is pale, pale, pale from the horrible, rainy spring we are having. It just gives me a touch of color – ever so slight – just a brief kiss from the sun. For later, Fire Opal has more pigment for a more tanned version of touched by the sun on the beach look. Jasper seems like it is in between the two, a muddier touch of sunshine!
The formula is ultra soft, and it has a silky matte finish. It gives you a natural looking radiance without any shine.
Sun Stones is the lightest 01 color of the three colors. It is great if you have fair or light skin, or if you just want to add an ever-so-slight touch of color to your complexion. It enhances, as do all the colors, your skin’s natural luminosity with a sheer finish.
Fire Opal is my idea of the perfect “tan.” It is the most natural looking sun-kissed tan glow I have ever gotten without actually sitting in the sun and baking myself, and since those days are GONE forever, this powder is the next best thing. (Actually it is the best thing because I am no longer baking the living daylights out of my skin!) Bronzing Stones’ formula has no weight to it, it is an ultralight matte powder that blends easily into your skin. It feels like you are not wearing anything!
I have always loved the way YSL Beauty packages their products. You just know you are buying a luxury product! The packaging is so luxurious, the gorgeous gold compact comes in a velvet pouch with a gorgeous brush to go along with it. The packaging is as stunning as the actual product is. I always love a good “presentation!” (That’s why I love Joe Malone Fragrances so much!)
Use the included brush, or your own, to sweep the Bronzing Stones Palette of your choice onto your face and neck to get your sun-kissed glow!
What I like about Yves Saint Laurent’s summer Bronzing Stones Bronzers……they are stunning, nicely pigmented, silky-soft matte bronzers that offer the perfect every day neutral, bronzing glow which appears effortless – beauty made simple!
Remember to wear a good sunscreen when you are in the sun this summer. If you want a glowing sun-kissed tan, I highly recommend YSL’s Bronzing Stones. It is so natural looking, so lightweight, and you really do get that sun-kissed tanned glow, which we all love!
And Sylvie wants me to remind you to never let your precious pets sit in a hot car, or sit in the hot sun. It affects them as much as it can hurt you, just remember that most pets are already wearing a fur coat, or they have lots of feathers, like some of Sylvie’s sisters (that happen to be parrots)!
