Anastasia Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette

I didn’t think I would like this palette as much as I do! I think I forgot how much I love the Anastasia Beverly Hills Makeup!  I love it because it is a neutral-based palette with rosy shades. Not only are the Anastasia Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette shades perfect for the fall and winter months, you can wear them dressed down, or dressed up for the holidays. There are ten eyeshadows in matte and metallic finishes, and two matte blushes in the All In One Palette.  The shades will take you from soft, feminine, natural, everyday life, to sultry, smoky, bold glamorous parties!

You can find the Anastasia Primrose All In One Face & Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Website.  Also the Primrose Eyeshadows ( 10x 0.05 oz. / 1.44g ) and Blush Palette ( 2x 0.15 oz. / 4.2g ) cost $55.

Packaging

The Anastasia Primrose Palette comes in a blush outer box is stamped with a quilted pattern, that looks like leather. Also, the case itself is blush pink. The stiff cardboard, stamped with a pattern, has gold edges on the bottom front corners.  Lift up on the lid to open. To close, push down on the lid and let the magnetic closure grab and. close the lid. Inside, underneath the lid, is a huge mirror that is framed with gold.  On the other side from the mirror, set into gold are the ten eyeshadows, set in large pans,  on the left. And the two blushes, in pans large enough to get a blush brush in, are  on the right.  The writing is in gold, on the outer box, and on the case.

The Formula

The shadows are buildable and blendable.  Also, the shades are an opaque color.  In addition, the full pigment formula gives high color payoff and intensity.  I really love the formula because the shadows feel really soft to the touch.  They are smooth and velvety.  The thing I love best is the shadows have longevity.  Also, I had no creasing, no flaking and no glitter falling all over my face!  And, I didn’t need to use glitter glue!  You can expect some fallout with the matte shades, since they are are pressed powders.  The metallic shades are multidimensional.

My one complaint : An eyeshadow palette that’s “not intended for the eye area”??? Something doesn’t quite add up here. Beautiful colors and pigments, but unfortunately only 3 shades are able to be used as eyeshadows. But, you can wear the other shades as blush, or on your lips.  Directly from the Anastasia website: “Shades Claret, Deep Berry, Grapefruit, Honey, Mango, Peony, Primrose, Sparkling Amber and Rouge are not intended for use around the immediate eye area”.  Well, at least not here in the USA. But, the rules and regulations are different in the EU!  And they are allowed to wear these shadows on the immediate eye area!  I can’t think about what we are supposed to do. All I know is,  I purchased the palette, it is beautiful.  And, I intend to wear it.  And, the rest is up to you, if you are from the US!

The Shades

There are ten eyeshadows, in two rows of 5 shadows. Also, the two rows start on the left side of the palette. Then, the two blush shades are on the right, at the end of the palette.
