What is so great about these particular makeup trends for 2017 is that all of the looks can be done with products you already have! The 2017 trends go from one extreme , at one end of the spectrum, to the other . This is what makes makeup so much fun! So, one trend is a little, artfully applied makeup, and at the other end is glitter, glitter, then more glitter , some gloss, and lots of shine!
It is not my favorite thing to do, (I have a hard time playing with my eyelids) , but this year’s trend is to use a black eye pencil and trace it along your inner waterlines. It is a far cry from the fat marker cat eye look, isn’t it? But it is a subtle, artful, pretty look nonetheless.
This is one shine that doesn’t meed highlighters or glitter to make a statement. Glossy eyelids have been the stars of many a fashion magazine editorial. Now, the look is something that we can do in real life! You can use a lip gloss over your eye shadow if you don;t have an eye gloss from either Mac or Kevyn Aucoin! I always loved this look, at least in pictures,
I love the element of the wet shine on the lids.
The Blush look for 2017 is no holds barred BOLD! Apply it with a heavy hand like you did when you were going to the disco! Or you can blend it from your cheeks to your temples, subtly!
Another trend in 2017 is to go light on the metallics. Metallics are trending in a light way, wither with a swipe of silver metallic shadow on the lids, or a dob or a metallic highlighter on the cheekbones! And that is it, nothing more!!!!
Even though red lips are always the style, the look for 2017 is called a relaxed-look red lip. This look is a no makeup-makeup look with a red lip!
I think this is my favorite look of 2017. I love red lips! There is something really elegant about a red lip, and the look of no makeup!!!!
Don’t you agree that the look , red lips and no makeup-makup, is really beautiful?
How many of you remember the 80’s look? Well, you have heard the expression, what is old is new again? Here it is! Frosty blue eyeshadow, a colorful blush and
Pouffey Hair is making a comeback! Ya gotta love it!
Ask my girlfriend Cindy, she couldn’t wait until I stopped wearing all that blue eye shadow. I loved it, I still do!
The look is to scatter the glitter. You do not want it to be perfect! You want to scatter it all over the place, and allow the flecks to drop wherever they fall! Less than perfect is perfect with this 2017 glitter look.
Which looks are your favorites? Let us know in the comments below! Which ones will you be wearing in 2017? Pouffey hair maybe? Blue frosted eyes shadows? Messy glitter? We can’t wait to hear from you!
You are Awesome!
