Every woman has certain attitudes and preconceptions when it comes to makeup. When you are in the makeup department of a store and your trying to figure out what makeup is calling out to you screaming ” buy me”, you’ll have to ask yourself:
“How do I feel about makeup? Do I like what makeup looks like? Do I like how it feels ? Do I Know how to use it?”
Part 1 – Do You Have Issues With Makeup? Are You Makeup Phobic?
When you answer the following questions you will have a good indication of whether or not you are makeup phobic:
- You are eighteen years or older and you have never owned a mascara?
- Do you not know where exactly you are supposed to put blush on your face?
- Have you always thought that women who wear makeup are vain and shallow?
- Are you afraid to go to a makeup counter?
- Do you think that wearing lipstick makes a woman, including yourself, look cheap?
- Do you not have the vaguest idea how to buy a foundation?
- You don’t use any moisturizers?
- Are you baffled by words like AHA and BHA?
If you answered yes to two or more of these questions the chances are good that you have no room in your life for makeup.
But, maybe for some unknown reason, your life is in a place now where you may have to put your best “face” forward. And the worst case scenario-you might have to wear a little makeup. Makeup might not be the problem. I don’t believe that makeup is the problem! Maybe the problem could be that you just don’t know how to go about makeup? Are you afraid to purchase makeup? Do you think you can’t make the right selections that are right for you? Are you afraid you can’t apply makeup properly?
It’s easy to change all of these feelings, behaviors, and the choices you’ve made once you realize that you are makeup phobic.
