Five years ago, legendary musician, Prince, passed away.  Although, he left us with his incredible music. Even more, Prince, the artist, was a creative genius.  He boldly went beyond all limits.  Makeup is another way we. can go beyond the limits.  In fact, the makeup rule is, there are no rules.  Think about that the next time you are applying your eyeshadow!  Then, create your own bold, looks.  Be creative!  Remember, there are no limits as to what you can create!  Think about Prince. Above all, Prince was the inspiration for the Limited Edition Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collaboration.  Therefore, the brand collaborated with Prince’s Estate, and Key members of Prince’s artistic camp.  The Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collection includes a setting powder, a kajal eyeliner pencil, a liquid highlighter, and a vegan multi-tasking makeup brush.

Although, the real stars of the collection are two eyeshadow palettes.  First, Let’s Get Crazy is a purple-palette.  In fact, Prince’s favorite color was purple.  Also, his famous movie was titled Purple Rain.  The other eyeshadow palette, “U Got The Look” includes shimmering metallics and neutral shades.  I purchased the eyeshadow palette, “U Got The Look.”  Keep reading to discover more about the Urban Decay X Prince “You Got The Look” eyeshadow palette.

You can find the Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collection at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and on the Urban Decay Website.  Also, you can purchase the entire Collector Edition “Vault” Collection for $250.  Each Eyeshadow Palette (10 X 0.7g / 10 X 0.06 oz.) originally was $55.  Now it is on sale at Ulta, Macy’s and Sephora for $27.50.

Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collaboration “You Got The Look” Eyeshadow Palette Packaging

First, the “You Got The Look” outer box is recyclable.  Also, the cardboard box is black and it has gold embellishments, and gold writing.

Next, heavy cardboard surrounds the palette. Although, the center of the cardboard is cut out, into a square. The reason for this is, the double-door compact has the gold “Prince” symbol that opens and closes the palette.  I remember when Prince went by this symbol, instead of his name.  Additionally, the palette has a magnetic closure.

Inside the palette, behind one door, a gold frame surrounds a mirror.  Then, behind the other door, is a shiny photo of Prince’s eye. The doors swing open to the gold-glitter-like palette with ten pan eyeshadow pans.

The Formula For The Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collaboration “You Got The Look” Eyeshadow Palette

HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE URBAN DECAY X PRINCE “YOU GOT THE LOOK” EYESHADOW PALETTE

To begin with , the 10 eyeshadows come in satin, matte, pearly shimmer, and metallic finishes.  Also, the formula is velvety-soft. They shades are easy to blend. As a result, the eyeshadows glide on your eyelids. Additionally, the richly pigmented shades are long-wearing.  Even more, the pressed-powder formula feels creamy to the touch.  However, there is some powder kickback.  Although, if you use your fingers to apply the shades, you can avoid the fallout.  Even more, you can use a fluffy eyeshadow brush.  Above all, the shades can be worn wet or dry.  Finally, the formula is vegan and cruelty free.

My Final Thoughts On The Urban Decay X Prince Makeup Collaboration “You Got The Look” Eyeshadow Palette ….

First, I love when Urban Decay Collaborates on a collection.  My favorite collaboration was the Urban Decay X Basquiat Collaboration. Also, don’t understand why this palette received some bad reviews.  I think the formula was great.  Of course, there is always going to be some fallout with a pressed powder palette.  I love the packaging!  The shades are richly pigmented, and beautiful.  Finally, I love the wet dry formula.  Above all, I love thinking about Prince!
