Two Faced Glitter Bomb Eyeshadow Palette ($45) is an early Fall release from Two Faced, that features eight glitter shades, and two matte base shades. This palette is truly extraordinary, not to be mistaken for “just another glitter palette”. The Glitter Bomb Palette can transform the glitter into different textures and finishes. There are many ways you can wear each glitter shadow. When used by themselves, the shadows are not that intense. On their own, they will give you a beautiful, subtle shimmer . You can also multitask, and use the shades Fairy Dust (a white pearl) , or Oh, It’s On ( a true gold), to highlight your cheekbones, and other high points on your face.
The way to get staying power, and to make sure the shadows do not fade, is to use a glitter glue as a base, and then, using your finger, place the glitter on your eyelids.
You can also use the shadows wet, which will create a foiled finish. Wet a shadow brush, then dip it into the pan of your choice and apply the shadow to your eyelids. This will create a gorgeous molten-glitter look. Or, wet an angled brush, and line your eyes with the wet glitter to create a metallic eyeliner.
Use the black matte shade on the right of the palette, the Intensifying base, by brushing it onto the eyelids first. Then use the glittery shadows for a more opaque smoulder. The Intensifying base also transforms the shades by making the colors appear richer and deeper.
Use the white matte Brightening Base to get a true color, the color that it looks like in the pan. The white brightening base makes the shadows dazzle.
And like all of Two Faced products, a How-To Glamour Guide is tucked into the box, which is a step by step guide that features four looks that actually shows you some of the things you can do with the palette.
The glitter shades in this palette are gorgeous. You can expect some shadow fallout, which is normal for any glitter shadow. To minimize the fallout, use your finger to apply the glitter. Also, use a glitter glue to prime (Two Faced Makes One) in order to create long-lasting glitter shadows and prevent their color from fading. Use a brush if you are trying to use the glitters wet. Wet the brush, and dip the brush into the shadow. Without the intensifying or brightening bases, without the glitter glue, and without using the shadows wet, these glitters are beautiful, subtle shimmery shades. With glitter glue, they are gorgeous glittery shades. I love that this palette add some excitement to any of the eyeshadow palettes you already have. This palette creates an infinite number of looks, depending on how you want to use it. I love that this is “Have Fun With It!” “Work It!” and “Play With It!” makeup!
Do you love glittery shadows as much as I do? Do you have fun with your makeup? Don’t be afraid of this palette- it is not difficult to work with! Let me know what you think in the comments below, and stop in to the comments and say hi!
