Tom Ford New Shade & Illuminate Blush Duo

I purchased three of the six Shade & Illuminate Blush Duo Shades.

Peach Poison

First, Peach Poison, a soft clementine shade has a semi-matte finish, and a soft terracotta shade with a shimmer. These shades gave  me a natural-looking glow on my cheeks.

It was fairly light, so not very pigmented. So far, it was too light for my medium, still tan, skin.  Although, by the time the snow falls, it should show up more than it does now.  For now, this one was all glow and very little show.

Sundrunk

Next, Sundrunk, a soft peach shade, has a semi-matte finish, and a Rosy Pink with a shimmer finish. Sundrunk worked better on my medium-tan skin, than Peach Poison.  Sundrunk is perfect for fair, light, medium light, and medium complexions.  This shade  lasted for nine hours.   Still, I am beginning to see that these blush duos are more for a healthy, youthful glow. Although, Sundrunk had more pigment than the Peach Poison.  It looked pretty.

My cheeks were  glowing,  with a bit more color showing. If you want more  cheek color, these aren’t the blushes for you.

Cherry Blaze

Finally I purchased Cherry Blaze, a peach shade wit a semi-matte finish, and a pink coral shade with a shimmer finish.

This combination had more pigment than the first two shades.  Therefore, I felt that I could layer to achieve a peachy cheek, with the pink coral highlighter on the high points of my cheeks, and brow bones.  Still, this one had even more color show, along with a beautiful glow.

My Final Thoughts On Tom Ford’s New Shade $ Illuminate Duos….

Swatches Left to Right, 1+2 are Peach Poison/ 3+4 are Sundrunk, and 5+6 are Cherry Blaze-all the shades were layered for more intensity

Tom Ford is a luxury brand.  Therefore, his makeup is beautiful.  Not as pigmented as Charlotte T, Natasha D, and Pat Mc.  Even more, not as pigmented as Nars.  Even Chanel blushes are more pigmented.  However, I see what the brand was trying to do.  They were trying to create a delicate, healthy looking glow, using both shades.  That way, you could add a touch more semi-matte, or layer it, to create more color.  Yet, the idea here is to create a healthy looking, glowing cheek.  I get it.  It is perfect for the looks women want today- the no makeup makeup look.  Less. pigment, more glow.  Bobby Brown would love it!  How about you?
