If you have skin sensitivities or problems with skin irritation you may need an effective skin cream that will soothe and heal irritation. Recently I had a terrible bout of irritated, bumpy rashy skin. It itched me beyond belief. I have used other Tatcha products,Tatcha’s Pure Camilla Cleansing Oil (5.1 fl. oz $48), along with the Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder (5.1 fl. oz $48) to wash my face, and I had always been interested in trying the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream ($135 at Sephora). My unfortunate discomfort gave me the opportunity to go for it!
There are some excellent ingredients in this 1.7 fl. oz. of Tatch Indigo that perform well to treat both your face and to spot treat your body when your skin becomes irritated and volatile.
Japanese Indigo and 3% Colloidal Oatmeal are two ingredients that are well known for the soothing and calming effects to comfort skin that is irritated. These ingredients are extremely effective for nourishing and moisturizing , and at the same time are able to perform anti-aging benefits for lifting and firming the skin.
Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream can also be used as an alternative to topical steroids, which could have possible side effects for some people. If you suffer from poison ivy, eczema, or dermatitis, there are two compounds found in Japanese Indigo that alleviate pain and inhibit inflammation. The first ingredient, nitrogen-rich Tryptanthrin, inhibits pain-causing enzymes, and Indirubin inhibits inflammation causing proteins and restores the skin’s barrier functions.
Tatcha Indigo also has 3% colloidal oatmeal which is the highest % for a product that treats common skin irritations such as excess dryness, flaking, scaly, itchy skin. It also helps by preventing further outbreaks. Another ingredient, Sericin ,which is one of two ingredients that are in silk, is also great for the skin because of it’s amino acid content and soothing texture. It acts as an an effective moisturizing and an emollient which also calms and comforts dry skin.
My rash ended up being an allergic reaction to what, I don’t know. I had terrible, itchy red, bumpy skin and hives! I used the Tatcha Indigo as I would a topical steroid. It definitely worked wonders comforting my skin, and calming the redness down. I had good results. although my Doctor had also prescribed some allergy medicine. But, I wanted out of my discomfort quicker than any medicine would take me. It is expensive, but it worked. It soothed my skin. It felt silky and smooth. It was not greasy, nor did it leave behind a greasy film. And the blue tint disappeared after a minute, when I rubbed it into my skin. I also like the fact that it has anti-aging benefits , especially when you’re not able to apply your usual skincare, you know you’ll benefit by having anti-aging factors along with the calming and soothing treatments in the cream.
I hope this was helpful. Please come back and visit.
You are Awesome!
