Happy Mother’s Day 2017! Celebrities were once just little girls growing up, living with their mom and siblings, if they were lucky enough to have them. My boys still come home all the time, and I love it! I love when my daughter in laws and my son’s girlfriends spend time with me as well. I love to teach them my beauty tips and how to’s! Celebrities learned from their moms. I learned from my mom, and you learned from your mom – moms unlock the mysteries of the beauty world for their daughters, and sometimes their sons.
Oh, did I love Reese and her recent show, with Nicole Kidman, and Laura Dern, “Big Little Lies.”
Reese’s mom’s words of beauty wisdom to Reese was that it was important to always get a good haircut! Me thinks those words of wisdom make perfect sense.
Nicole Kidman is so gorgeous, as well as being such a great actress.
Nicole’s mom taught her to stand straight, and never slouch. She insisted if you carry yourself with authority, it shows that you have confidence. Great words of wisdom! And have you noticed that Nicole really does have the most perfect posture?
I’d still buy Calvins from Brooke Shields, she is still so gorgeous.
I love seeing Gigi Hadid in all her fashion shows, and print ads.
Mom, Yolanda Foster, taught Gigi to put toothpaste on her pimples! It does work , you know.
The big beauty lesson momonger Kris Jenner has taught her five girls is to Never Touch Their Faces, because their hands are dirty! OOOH Kaye!
Jessica Alba, another beauty.
Jessica’s mom taught her to wash her hair every night. She also taught a good skincare regime in most important. And the key to it all, ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN! You go, Jessica’s Mom!
Another beauty!
Her mom told her to always wear a red lip because it fixes everything! I tend to agree with her!
I loved her in the Alien flicks.
Mom instilled in Sigourney to NEVER GO TO BED UNTIL YOU TAKE OFF ALL YOUR MAKEUP. And, according to Sigourney, she never did. That might be one of the reasons she looks amazing at 65!
I always think she is Iman’s daughter, but I know I am wrong.
Chanel Iman’s mother told her to never pluck her eyebrows. And she never did. Good idea mom, Chanel’s eyebrows look perfect!
Mom told Jenna (remember, mom’s from Texas) that whenever you think you have enough blush on…….put some more on! Makes sense coming from the land of the beauty queen pageants!
Josie Mamet has very famous parents, a playwrite, and a director father, and actress mother , Linda Crouse. Josie has become famous on her own merit, co- starring in Lena Dunham’s successful cable show, ” Girls.”
Mom is so busy doing plays and such, I couldn’t find a photograph with she and her daughter, nowhere, no how! But, it’s a good think that Zosia’s mom took her to get facials when Zosia was young, because her skin was in good shape when she went through puberty. Zosia feels that her mother was basically saying to her, “take care of your skin!”
Our mother’s teach us, and we pass it down to our own children, My mom’s favorite saying was, “if it’s French, you know it’s good!” My mom loved fashion and makeup while I was growing up. I know that is where I got my love of makeup and fashion. Nowadays, there are so many more choices of brands, and different philosophies about skincare rituals, and so many skincare products, lipsticks, blushes, etc. It is hard to choose which is right. That is why I love to blog about the products, to give you, who may not have the time or money, to spend figuring out what is good and bad. I try to give you the actual experience of a product, from opening the package, to swatching the shades, and giving you my best interpretation of the experience for you. I hope that I am doing o.k. with it.
I really would love to hear some feedback if there is something you want me to review, or if you have any questions about products and skincare. Please write to me in the comments below, and I will get back to you!
If you are a mom, have children, or are a mommy of dogs, cats, birds, iguanas, etc. like I am. as well as being a mom of four boys, you all deserve the day to be pampered, because you have pampered everyone else 364 days a year. Today is your day. Have a Happy Mother’s Day! Don’t do a thing! Let your family wait on you for a change!
