The Luxury Brand, Hermes, came out with their first makeup product. Guess what is is? Lipstick! And, the lipstick comes in both matte and satin finishes. Although matte lipsticks are gorgeous, they don’t work well on me. The reason is, matte lipsticks dry out my lips. So, for me, mattes are uncomfortable to wear. There are 24 new Hermes Lipsticks. First, there are 10 Rouge Hermes Matte Lipsticks. Second, the Rouge Hermes Satin Lipstick comes in 14 shades! I purchased four of them.
You can find the Rouge Hermes Satin Lipstick and the Mattes at Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and on the Hermes USA website. Each lipstick costs $67.
I know what you are thinking! $67 is a lot of money for a lipstick. Other Luxury Brands are a lot less, such as Chanel, $38 or $40 depending on the type you choose, Gucci, $42, YSL , $38 and Christian Dior,$38.
The only lipstick I know of, that costs more than the Hermes Lipsticks, is the Louboutin Lipstick, which costs $90. Therefore, compared to the Louboutin Lipstick, you are getting a deal at $67! LOL
Rouge Hermes Satin Lipstick Packaging
The Boxes
To begin with, when it comes to luxury lipsticks, the packaging is everything! Therefore, if you love beautiful packaging, you are gonna spend lots of money! First of all, the Hermes Lipstick comes in a basic-looking outer box. 
However, there is an elongated slit on the front of the box. Right in there, you can into the outer box. Inside, you’ll see what must be something really special.
Open the outer box, and slide out the Hermes Box. It is the traditional orange box! A must if it is real Hermes inside. 
Next, to open, you’ll need to slide the box out. Then, you’ll see that the lipstick case comes in what looks like a burlap dust bag!
The Case
Now it’s time to slide the lipstick out of the bag. 
Finally, you have reached the lipstick case. First, it is beautifully color-blocked in white, black and brushed gold. On top of the case is a gold Hermes emblem.
Pierre Hardy, who designs the Hermes shoes, designed the lipstick case. Furthermore, the case is made with the same brushed metals that go into the Hermes Handbags. As a result, the case is weighty. And being that it is a luxury lipstick, it feels good in your hand. And, the case has a strong magnetic closure.
Even more, the case is refillable. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen the replacement bullets yet. One reason could be, like everything else, it is running late, due to the coronavirus situation. And, if that is the reason, it is forgivable.
The Bullet
Engraved into the bullet is HERMES. Finally, the top of the bullet is designed for the perfect fit. As a result, you can easily swipe it on.
The Formula For The Rouge Hermes Satin Lipstick
To start with, the formula has a creamy, silky-smooth texture. Therefore, the lipstick easily glides on your lips. Actually, the lipstick feels like a balm with pigments. Also, the pigments in the formula are long-lasting. As a result, you will get an opaque lip with one swipe. Although, one of the best parts of your lipstick “experience” is applying the lipstick. Therefore, you won’t be broken-hearted if you have to take out the beautiful Hermes case, and reapply the lipstick throughout the day, or night!
One last thought, the lipstick has a fragrance. In fact, the woman who is behind the Hermes fragrance, Christine Nagel, created the lipstick’s signature scent. The scent is light, and smells sweet. Three of the ingredients in the scent are sandalwood, arnica and angelica. Although, once I applied the lipstick, I no longer smelled a scent.

Every shade , chosen from the Hermes archives, relates to Hermes’ heritage. Each lipstick shade was chosen from the Hermes archives. In fact, there are over 900 leather shades and 75,000 silk swatches. meaning every one relates to a part of Hermès’ impressive heritage.
It’s also why, among the traditional reds and pinks inspired by some of the brand’s most popular bags and scarves, there are statement colors like purple and orange – the orange is the same shade as the signature Hermès packaging boxes.
My 4 Shades
I purchased four shades.
First, Rouge Hermes 16 Beige Tadelakt, a nude beige shade, with apricot undertones, has a satin finish.
Next, Rouges Hermes 42 Rose Mexique, a true deep pink shade, has a satin finish.
Then, Rouges Hermes 50 Rose Zinzolin, a plum pink shade, has a satin finish.
Last, Rouges Hermes 59 Rose Dakar, a pink-red shade, has a satin finish.
My Final Thoughts On The Rouge Hermes Satin Lipsticks…..
Why pay $67 for an Hermes Lipstick? First, you are playing or the novelty of owning an Hermes Lipstick. Even if, like me, you can’t afford an Hermes Birkin Bag, or Kelly Bag, which cost thousands of dollars, now you too can partake in the Hermes Experience. Therefore, you too can open that iconic orange box. Also, you are getting something designed by Pierre Hardy, who is the shoe designer for the brand. Even more, you can experience a scent created by the woman behind the Hermes fragrances!
