First, The Limited Edition, PM Mothership V11, Divine Rose Eyeshadow Palette, was only sold at Selfridges. And, when the palette arrived, in the beginning of November, 2019, it sold out instantly. Next, closer to Christmas, Pat McGrath released a small number on her own website. And, so the saga continues, because the palette sold out in a matter of minutes. Since then, the palette has been restocked. Although, there are never enough of them.
Recently, the PM Website did another restock. Finally, I was able to get Mothership V11. Above all, Mothership V11’s color story is all about golds, roses, peach and bronzes. Furthermore, the eyeshadow textures are a mixture of mattes, shimmers, iridescent shades, and one glitter. As a result, the shades create Pat’s signature multidimensional effects.
I was able to get the Divine Rose Mothership Palette on Pat MCGrath Labs.com. Also, at the time, Pat released the code Rose10, which gave you a 10% discount. The palette costs $125. However, they are offering the 10% discount!
Packaging For PM Mothership V11, The Divine Rose Eyeshadow Palette
The outer box is beautiful, with a picture of a woman’s face, eye and lips, amidst Divine Roses.
Inside, the black lacquered palette is the same case as all of the Mothership Palettes.
In addition, the signature Pat McGrath Hieroglyphics logo is on the front of the case. Inside, the case has a magnetic closure.
Also, the case has a beautiful, large beveled mirror. Finally, the ten shades are divided up, like the other Mothership Palettes. In other words, the six shades on the left side are pressed powders. And, the other four shades, on the right are baked shades. These are the bright, iridescent, party in a palette shades.
The Formula For PM Divine Rose Mothership V11 Eyeshadow Palette
First, the matte shades are soft and buttery. The Party shades are creamy. The wonderful thing about PM’s eyeshadows is they have very little kick back, and shadow fallout. All of the shades are soft to the touch. Also, the shades range from semi-opaque to opaque. The rich pigments create the shadows’ staying power. Moreover, the shades are easy to layer, and easy to blend. Pat’s eyeshadows are the best of the best.
The Divine Rose Mothership V11 Eyeshadow Palette Shades
To begin with, the palette has ten shades. Seven of the shades in the palette are brand new. However, three of the shades are relaunches. First, Skinshow Nude was first found in the Mothership Subliminal Palette. Another relaunch, Rose Dusk, was first seen in the Mothership Sublime Palette. Finally, Astral Solstice, the third shade that was relaunched, originally came from the Mothership Midnight Sun Palette.
The Pressed Powders
The first six shades in the palette are the pressed powders.
Skinshow Nude
First, Skinshow Nude, a soft champagne shade, has a shimmering finish. You can wear this shade wet or dry. Use it on the inner corners of your eyes. Next, illuminate your eyelids with this soft champagne shimmer. Even more, you can use Skinshow Nude to highlight your brow bones.
Velouria
Next, Velouria, a dusty mauve shade, has a matte finish. To begin with, Velouria is a shade used for sculpting and contouring your eyes. Therefore, wear Velouria in your crease. This way, you are contouring your crease.
Sable Bronze
Third, Sable Bronze, a bronze shade, has a shimmering metallic finish. I would love this shade on your eyelids. Use your fingers to apply Sable Bronze. Then, press the shade on the lids.
Xtreme Mahogany
Number Four, Xtreme Mahogany, a rich warm brown shade, has a matte finish. First, use the warm brown shade to contour your crease. Then, you can wet this shade, and line your lower lash line with it.
Love Lace
Next, Love Lace, a taupe shade with silver flecks in it, has a metallic finish. First, this shade reminds me of my favorite Chanticaille eyeshadow shade, Elephant. Only, this shade is more opaque, and Elephant is sheer. However, I would still wear this shade on the outer third of my eyelids. Also, I would wear it on the outer corners of my eyes. I would carry the shade up, through my crease, and slightly above the crease on the outer third of my eyes.
Rose Dusk
Finally, the last pressed powder shade, Rose Dusk, a soft, muted, rose plum shade, has a shimmering finish. One way to use this shade is on your eyelids. Although, I would love it in the crease. Also, I’d wear it on the outer corners of my eyes. Then, wet it, and line your lower lash lines with it.
The Baked Shades
As always, Pat’s final four shades are considered her party shades. In other words, these are the shades you’d use for a night time event, or a special party. Another thing is, these four shades are the brightest shades in the palette. They are the real sparkle and iridescent Va Va Va Boom shades.
Refined Gold 002
First, Refined Gold 002, a gold shade, has an iridescent finish. Furtermore, Refined Gold 002 can be worn on your eyelids. Also, wear this iridescent shade on the inner corners of your eyes.
Iridescent Pink 003
Next, Iridescent Pink 003, is a white pink shade that flashes lavender with a cooler pink tone, is a duochrome. Before I start, this shade is familiar to me. In fact, it is the same shade that was in Pat McGrath’s Highlighter Palette. So, unless I’m mistaken, this was a highlighter in a past life. Anyhoo, use this shade wet or dry on your inner corners, eyelids.and brow bones.
VR Rose Venus
Second to last, Rose Venus, an orange pink shade with gold shimmer, has a duochrome finish. This is a gorgeous shade, and it looks great on your eyelids
Astral Solstice
Finally, Astral Solstice, an Ivory shade, has a chunky glitter finish. It looks wet. Pat the shade over another shade for high shine.
My Final Thoughts On The PM Mothership Divine Rose Palette…….
Pat McGrath is the “Mother f Makeup and The Runway.” Hence, her makeup line is a result of her ground-breaking artistry. Therefore, she is able to take a Dusty Mauve Matte shade, and put it in the same palette as a sherbert peach duochrome shade. Not only that, she actually can make those two shades work with eight other shades you wouldn’t think to put together. Not only does she put these shades together, they actually really work well together.
I love pretty much everything Pat McGrath puts out. I thin she is a makeup master. This Divine Rose Palette is right up there with all her others. Gorgeous, Artistic, High Quality makeup.

During these difficult times, when the governor of our state closed all the businesses, and we are isolated in our homes, it is nice to see the beautiful, artistic things we have. What do you think?
