Today I am going to show you Pat McGrath’s newest product, her OpuLust Lip Gloss. First, this is no ordinary lip gloss. Instead, OpuLust Lip Gloss is opaque, glittery, and metallic. Moreover, the lip gloss coats your lips in multi-dimensional sparkle. Usually, I am not a lip gloss person. However, I love opaque lipsticks. OpuLUST has a creamy consistency that is thicker than your run of the mill lip gloss. For me, it also has the opacity of a lipstick. In addition, it feels great on your lips. Although, what I love most is each and every shade has Pat MCGrath’s famous WOW factor. Finally, the new Pat McGrath Lip Gloss comes in 8 new shades.
Furthermore, you can only find OpuLUST (1.5 fl oz.) at Sephora, and on the Pat MCGrath Labs Website. More over, each Lip Gloss costs $30. However, you can purchase bundles on Pat MCGrath Labs. For example, I purchased all eight shades in the OpuLUST Everything Bundle. And, the bundle costs $190. So, I saved $50 by purchasing the bundle. Also, there is an OpuLUST Gloss Trio that costs $75. And, you’d save yourself $15. Last, there is the OpuLUST Astral Duo, that costs $50. As a result, you’d save $10.
The Packaging For Pat McGrath OpuLUST Lip Gloss
To start with, my 8 lip glosses came in a gold box. On front of the box, was a see-through, plastic window. And, the window is in the shape of lips. So, you can see the eight lip gloss tubes inside the window pane.
On the back of the box, are the eight shades, and their names. Also, embossed on the back are the iconic Pat McGrath hieroglyphics.
Next, the lip gloss comes in a substantial, clear plastic tube. Also, the tube has more weight to it than most other lip gloss tubes. And, it seems thicker than most other lip gloss tubes. I love the feel of the tube in my hands. Finally, the tube has a black plastic lid. Again, Pat’s iconic hieroglyphics are also on the lid.
Furthermore, unscrewed, the lid doubles as the applicator. At the end of the tube is a flocked, doe-foot applicator. On one side, the applicator has a slight backward bend. Although, on the other side, the applicator is straight. So, I’m thinking that the straight side is good for precision lining. And, the curved side is for filling in the lips.
The OpuLUST Lip Gloss Formula
Two different complexes work together to create the OpuLUST formula. First, is the Advanced Phyto-Endorphin Complex. For one thing, this is the good-for your lips complex. One, it offers antioxidants that fight free radicals. Two, it benefits your lips with moisturizers.
The other Complex is called Emollient Matrix Technology. This technology makes sure the lip gloss feel lightweight on your lips.
Moreover, rich pigments create the opaqueness of the lip gloss. In addition, the formula includes glitter. Although, you don’t feel the grit of the glitter on your lips. Instead, your lips feel smooth. Even more, the finish is more metallic, than glossy.
Also, the high-shine finish doesn’t feel sticky. I really hate when glosses are sticky. This is because my hair ends up sticking to the gloss. So, the gloss ends up all over my face, with my hair in it. Even more, the gloss feels thicker than a regular lip gloss. The gloss has a creamy consistency. It also gives a metallic-looking finish. The reason for this is the formula includes super-fine micro-glitter in it. Finally, I love that the gloss is long-lasting.

My Final thoughts On The Pat McGrath OpuLUST Lip Gloss……….
To start, I love that the OpuLUST Lip Gloss feels moisturizing on my lips. I really don’t like any lip product that makes my lips feel really dry. Even though these glosses are loaded up with glitter, they glide on seamlessly, and feel smooth on the lips. Therefore, you don’t have to feel gritty glitter all day and night. Number three, the gloss is not sticky. Now that’s a really good thing. Another reason I love this gloss is it has real stay-on power.
Therefore, if you love a strong, glittery, metallic lipgloss, with a high shine finish, that doesn’t feel tacky, this one is it!!!!!
One last thing, you can wear these glosses over your lipstick for an all- out special effects lip. On the other hand, they look good worn alone, without lipstick.
Now, it’s your turn to tell me what you think about the new OpuLUST lip gloss. Please leave your comments in the comments box below. I look forward to hearing from you. And, much thanks for stopping by. I love visiting with you. So, don’t be shy, and go to the comments to just say hi!!
