Besides being full of textures and colors, all of the palettes are packaged in a luxe lacquered case. Furthermore, the palette colors are a mixture of vivid jewel tones, classic neutrals and high-impact fashion shades.
Pat McGrath Mothership 11 Sublime Palette Packaging
The packaging is exceptional. First, the packaging is very artistic. Instead of a box, the lacquered palette is packaged in a sturdy, decorated envelope. Interestingly, the envelope reminds me of the huge art -storage envelope we used in art class to put our artwork. Probably, this was what Pat McGrath had in mind when she designed the envelope.
With this in mind, the actual compact is inside the envelope. To illustrate the compact, it is black lacquered, with four hieroglyphic-like squares on the cover. First is the gold square with PM (Pat McGrath), Next, is a gold square with the letter L, which probably means London. Third, a crown, which I think means The United Kingdom. Fourth is what looks like an eye, which most likely represents the fact that it is an eye shadow palette.
Inside, there are ten pans with ten gorgeous eyeshadow shades. Importantly, the palette is large, and the beveled mirror is the size of the length of the palette.
Also, Pat includes a warning, which implies that anything goes, when using the palette.
Pat McGrath Mothership 11 Sublime Ingredients
Most important ,cream that is infused with powder creates the hybrid formula. Therefore, the shadow textures are soft and creamy. Because they have an emollient-like texture, they glide easily onto the eye. The result is the shadows blend easily, transition seamlessly and do not crease. Also, they are richly pigmented, Therefore, you can achieve rich intensity with one stroke of the brush.
Most important, there are 6 powder-luxe pressed eye shadows in the palette. Moreover, the formulas include matte, pearl and sparkle finishes. In addition, there are 4 modern hybrid pigmented formulas with metallic, satin sheen, iridescence and holographic finishes.
The Mothership 11 Sublime Palette Shades
The ten shades are :
Skin Show Glow
Skin Show Glow is a pink pearl that gives off a radiant glow. To illustrate, I would use this on my brow bone. Also, it can be used to brighten the eye.
Copper Toned is an intense shimmering copper-peach shade. Hence, use it to enhance your eyelids.
Iconic is a metallic antiqued taupe shade that would look great on the crease of the eye.
Bronze 005 is a glittering bronze accent shade that can be used wet or dry. Emphasize your lids with it, or use it on your the inner corners of your eye, and your Cupid’s bow.
Virtual Reality Nectar
Virtual Reality Nectar is a duo-chrome with vivid color that should be used on your lids.
Extreme black is the blackest of blacks. Therefore, use it to cut your crease, on your lids, and as a liner (appply it with a damp eyeliner brush).
Dark is a dark brown. It would look create in your crease.
Rose Dusk is an intense, multidimensional, crystalline rose gold.
Blitz Emerald is an edgy green flash that would be amazing on your lids, or as a liner.
Astral ghost Orchid
Above all the shades, Astral Ghost Orchid is my favorite because it can be used as a top coat, over another shadow. To this end, Astral Ghost Orchid will morph the shade and create a new shade, and add shine.
Because the colors curated in this palette are so versatile, you can create neutral daytime looks, as well as dramatic looks for night. Therefore, YOU NEED THIS PALETTE! First, the artistic experience starts with the packaging design. Next, the large beveled mirror is awesome. Finally, the shadow are gorgeous, and the quality is superior. Therefore, if you are wondering if it is worth $125, my answer is a big YES!
