The new PM Celestial Divinity Palette is making history. The reason is the new Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette is an epic 18 shade edit! Also, Celestial Divinity is part of Pat McGrath’s Holiday Collection 2020! Even more, the collection includes smaller eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and a new powder. So far, the Celestial Divinity Palette is Pat’s largest palette to date. Therefore, this mega palette is a first for Pat. The shades are about half the size, of the Mothership Palette shades.
However, 12 of the shades in the new palette are from the two original PM Star Wars Mothership Palettes. Only 6 shades, the two center columns, are brand new. Unfortunately, the Star Wars Palettes sold out before I could get my hands on them. As a result, the new Mega Palette is a gift for all of us who missed out on those 12 shades. Therefore, for me, and a lot of us, the Mega palette shades are brand new. One last thing, the palette costs a lot less than her 10 shade Mothership Palettes. Why do you think? I’m thinking it has something to do with packaging.
You can find the Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora, and on Pat McGrath’s Website. Additionally, the palette ( 18 X 0.038 0z. / 1.1g) costs $78. That is a lot less than her $125 dollar, 10 shades, Mothership Palettes.
Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Packaging
Usually, Pat packages her Mothership Palettes in black lacquered, sleek, heavy plastic cases. Then, inside the case, she includes a beveled mirror. I’m sure that is one reason why her Mothership Palettes cost so much money. However, the Celestial Divinity Packaging is beautiful. It includes beautiful artwork on the box, and on the compact. But, this palette’s case is made with hard cardboard. Although, inside, there is a nice sized mirror. It isn’t beveled. You see, there is a huge difference between cardboard, and the black lacquered plastic case. I’m not saying that it is cheap. It happens to be beautiful. Above all, it saves you a lot of money. One of the best things about this packaging is more people can afford to try Pat McGrath’s Mothership Palette, without paying $125. Also, it would make a great gift to give someone for the holidays.
Furthermore, don’t worry that the pan size is smaller in this palette. Each pan has 0.038 oz. Therefore, you still have plenty of product! In other words, you won’t run out of eyeshadows any time soon!
The Formula For The Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette
Basically, the formula includes pigments blended with emollients. The result is the shades are the some of creamiest eyeshadows on the market today. Moreover, the shadows are so rich and buttery they practically glide on your eyes. They are easy to blend, and easy to layer. Also, the mind-blowing pigments give you incredible color payoff. I love that they are opaque shades when you apply them onto your eyes.
Furthermore, the shadows last a long time!
Also, the ingredients include Rice Bran Extract, and Honey Extract. Both Extracts provide antioxidant properties as well as soothe your skin. Furthermore, the Honey Extract adds a look of radiance on your skin.
The Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette Shades
Each column has three shades. The shades in the first two columns, and the last two columns are reissued shades from the Star Wars Palettes. In other words, these shades are not new. Even more, the six new shades can be found in the third, and fourth columns. In other words, the new shades are in the middle of the palette, between the reissued shades.
The First Two Columns of 3 Shades Each
To begin with, Saturnalia, a crimson shade, has a pink flash chromatic finish. First, this crimson shade looks good all over your eyelids. Also, Pat does a look where she dabs Saturnalia on the center of the eyelids.
Next, Venomous Void, a mid-tone magenta shade, has a matte finish. Again, I would wear this magenta shade on the outer eyelid, and on the inner eyelid. Even more, wear it as a transition shade, to soften the edges of your eyeshadows.
Then, CosmiK, a pink shade, has a diamond sparkle finish. Wear this pink diamond sparkle on the center of your eyelids, in the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bones. Also, wear it all over your lid, especially on the inner third of your eyelids.
Also, Bronze Nebula, a golden-bronze shade, has a metallic finish. First, you can wear this bronze-gold metallic shade all over your eyelids. Also, you can wear it on the inner third of your eyelid, with other shades on the center and outer parts of your lid.
Next, Odyssey, a lilac taupe shade, has a pink sparkle finish. To begin with, Odyssey looks great on the center of you eyelids, all over your eyelids, or on the inner third of your eyelids.
Last, Smoked Amethyst, a blackened aubergine shade, has a pink sparkle finish. Smoked Amethyst works well on the outer third of the eyelids, and the outer corners of the eyes. Also, I love this blackened aubergine shade as a liner to line your lower lash line, and your upper lash lines. Finally, wear this blackened aubergine shade in your crease, and outer corner of your eyes.
The Two Middle Columns Are The Newbies in The Palette
First, Major Mahogany, a warm mahogany shade, has a matte finish. I’d love to see this shade in your crease, and the outer corners of your eyes. Also, this shade of warm mahogany would make a great eyeliner on your lower lash lines, and upper lash lines.
Second, Fuchsia Shock, a fuchsia shade, has a purple shimmer finish. First, this shade looks great all over the eyelid. Also, wear it in your crease.
Third, Dragonfly, a warm gold shade, has a green flash metallic finish. This one is one of my favorite shades in the palette. I would wear Dragonfly all over my eyelids. Also, it would look amazing down the center of your eyelids.
Fourth, Lunar Champagne, a warm champagne shade, has a shimmering finish. First, be daring and wear Lunar Champagne to highlight your brow bones. Also, I love this shade all over the eyelids. Do an all gold eye, and wear the shade to line your lower lash lines. Also, I’d like to line my upper lash lines with this warm shimmering champagne shade.
Fifth, Megabyte, a deepend Khaki shade, has a green shimmering finish. Wear Megabyte on the center of your eyelids.I love this fun shade all over my eyelids. Also, it would look great on the inner third of the eyelids. Finally, I think this shade would look amazing used to line your lower lash lines. One last suggestion, wear Megabyte in your crease, and outer corners of your eyes.
Last, Vesuvian Orchis, a pink shade, has a matte finish. First of all, this shade is much softer than the other shades. So, if you want to do a softer eye, you can wear this shade on the inner third of your eyelids, all over your eyelids, and to highlight your brow bones.
The Last two Columns-Back To The Star Wars Palettes
To start, Violet Void, a deep violet shade, has a pink flash finish. The best way to wear Violet Void is to line your eyes. Wear it on your lower lash lines. Also, you could wear it in the outer corners of your eyes. Also, for lots more drama, wear this deep violet shade in your crease!
Next, Bronze is not any old bronze. Bronze, a brilliant bronze shade, has a metallic finish. Wear this brilliant shade of Bronze all over your eyelids.
More, Galactic Gold, a platinum shade, has a golden chartreuse finish. I’m loving this shade! Wear this gorgeous platinum shade, with a golden chartreuse finish in the inner corners of your eyes! I’d love to see this shade all over your eyelids! It is such a WOW, different shade!
Also, Gold Standard, a 24kt Gold shade, has a luminous finish. First, highlight the inner corners of your eyes with Gold Standard, Or, you could create a solid gold eye, wearing the Gold Standard all over your eyelids.
Then, Electron, a rose bronze shade, has a glittering blue flash finish. I love this shade all over your eyelids.
Finally, Corruption, a fiery bronze shade, has a duochrome finish. Wear Corruption in your crease, and on the outer corners of your eyes. Also, I would love to see this fiery bronze duochrome shade as a liner, to line your lower lash lines.
My Final Thoughts On The Pat McGrath Celestial Divinity Eyeshadow Palette……
One reason I love this palette is because I could get the Star Wars Palette shades! Plus, I got to pick up six new shades. Although, for me, all of the shades are new! And, I love that it is a Mega Palette. Yet, it costs a lot less than the regular ten shade Mothership Palettes. I do love the fancier packaging on the original palettes. However, this palette has the beautiful artwork, the hieroglyphics, and a mirror. The hard cardboard works. Last, I think the shades are perfect for this time of year, and the holidays. I realize we are wearing masks, and social distancing. Also, we aren’t going out much. I spend all my going out time outside, playing with my grandchildren! So, hopefully, things will change sooner rather than later! It is still fun to play with makeup! In fact, it really cheers me up!
