For example, the Pantone Color of the Year for 2021 was actually two colors: Grey and Buttery Yellow. It is the first time,ever, in the history of the Pantone Institute, that the Institute actually created a brand new color! According to The Pantone Color Of the Year Educational Program, the new invention, Veri Peri, reflects global innovation and transformation taking place. The new color, Veri Peri, is described as a “Futuristic” periwinkle blue with violet – red undertones!” The Institute describes the “dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet-red undertone, blends the faithfulness, and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red. Together, the two create an empowering mix of newess.” Also, Pantone states,” that Veri Peri reflects what is taking place in our global culture, expressing what people are looking for, that color can hope to answer.”
The complexity of the new color, Veri Peri , blue infused with red-violet, highlights the extensive possibilities that lie before us. Therefore, the vibrant Periwinkle blue with violet-red undertones is A New Color For A New Vision Of The World.
