Once again, makeup artist Natasha Denona has redefined what makeup should be. Moreover, Natasha has reinvented the way to wear highlighters and blush. The newest addition to the ND collection is the Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette. The over-sized ND Diamond & Blush palette contains six magnificent shades of highlighters and blush. Natasha created two palettes for the Diamond & Blush Collection. First, Darya , is for light to medium skin tones. Also, it is for those of you who like pink shades. Second, Citrus, is for medium to dark skin tones. However, Citrus is for you if you love coral, and bronze shades. The Versatility of the ND Palette is what makes this palette unique! Natasha designed the palette’s shades to be layered, mixed and matched so that you could create your own variations of textures and dimensions. Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette Packaging
First, the packaging is huge. Also, the pan-size is extra- large. Therefore, the palette is really worth the high price tag!
Also, there is a thick, plastic piece that covers and protects the two cream shades, and the duo-chrome shade, from getting powder in their pans. It’s a good idea to protect the cream shades so that they do not get messy.
The compact is sturdy, and weighty. Also, inside the compact there is a full-sized mirror. It isn’t a palette you would throw in your handbag! However, you really won’t need to take this palette for touch-ups. The reason the palette doesn’t need to be portable is because the formulas are super long-lasting!
Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette Formula
There are two creamy formulas and four powder formulas in each of the palettes. Again, these formulas are designed to be layered with different finishes, textures and shades.
The formulas produce a high shine finish on your cheeks. Also, the shades that shimmer are finely milled.
In addition, the shades are easy to apply. Moreover, the colors layer beautifully. And the buildable colors go from semi-sheer to opaque.
Most important, the formula is extremely long-wearing.
Cream Glow Base
The Cream Glow Base works well as a base to give extra emphasis to either a blush, or the duo glow that goes on top of it.
Duo Glow
The Duo glow is a duo chrome shade that can be worn on the apples of the cheeks, on top of a blush, or blended into the highlighters.
Diamond Powder
Natasha Denona created a new generation of glow; a diamond-like sparkle. The Diamond Powder has sparkly micro-glitters that shine like diamonds. As a result, the face looks dewy and wet. Also, the diamond powder is more like a top coat, that will add the dewy, wet sparkles to any blush, eye shadow or highlighter.
Powder Blush
The powder blush is not very pigmented. Therefore, it should be worn on top of a cream blush to give the cream more dimension. It can also be layered with a highlighter, or the cream base to give it more emphasis.
Cream Blush
The cream blush is more pigmented than the powder blush. It gives more pop of color. Wear it as a base shade and layer the powder blush on top for more emphasis.
Extreme Glow
Extreme Glow gives a strong metallic sheen with a fine shimmer. It can be sheer or layered to create a more opaque shade because it is easy to build and layer.
Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette Application
Natasha Denona designed Diamond & Blush Palettes for you to play with. Furthermore, the palette allows you the opportunity to achieve a wide range of finishes from natural to extreme.
In addition, Natasha suggests you use a damp sponge or a dry blush brush to apply the shades. I also like to use a stipple brush to apply the creams. Although, I think the damp sponge works best.
Sum
Both of these palettes are stunning. The long-lasting power of the formulas is amazing. The OMG Glow you will achieve when layering these shades is, OMG! Also, the creamy formulas make the shades easy to apply. I love to mix the Cream Highlighter with the Extreme Glow Powder for an amazing look. Also, the cream blush, layered with the powder blush on top is another way to emphasize a shade and add more dimension. You can build the blush from a healthy glow to a strobe of light if you top it off with diamond powder.
Have fun experimenting with the different textures. And, let me know what you think of these palettes in the comments below!
