To begin with, I have a ton of large eye shadow palettes. You know, the ones with at least 15 different shades in them! For me, they are fun to have, but really, they are a big expense, and a big waste of space. Even more, , I only use 2 or 3 colors from those palettes. Therefore, I love when a new, fun single shadow comes out. Glisten up! Are you are looking for densely-packed metallic pigments with multi-dimensional pearls that reflect light from any angle? Introducing, the newest single shadows from Nars….the Nars Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment.
You can find all 8 of the Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment shades at Bloomingdales, Macy’s and on the Nars Cosmetics Website. Furthermore, each 0.05oz./ 1.5g shade costs $28.
The Nars Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment Packaging
First, these single shadows come in the Nars signature black matte box.
Then, the pigments come in a round, plastic jar. Even more, the top of the jar is clear. In this way, you can see the color of the pigments that are inside the jar. Finally, the jar lid twists off, and twists back on.
The Nars Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment Formula
To start with, the densely packed pigments are metallic. In addition, multi-dimensional pearls reflect light from any angle. Furthermore, they have a rich, intense color payoff. The creamy formula is buildable and blendable. Even more, the creamy formula glides onto your eyelids. Therefore, the shades are easy to apply. Another great aspect of these pigments is they apply evenly with one stroke.
Also, you can customize your level of shimmer. And, you can use the pigments dry or wet. Furthermore, the formula includes an exclusive pigment binding system. Even more, the system helps the pigments adhere to the skin. As a result, the longer the pigments adhere to your skin, the longer your weartime will be. Finally, the end result is long-wearing, foil-like shine.
The Nars Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment Shades
There are 8 shades in the collection. Two of the eight shades are brand new to the collection. They are Ismoralda, a turquoise shade; and Castaway, a translucent white shade, with orange pearl. Both new shades have a shimmering finish.
The six shades I purchased are Shock ‘Em, Slam, Stricken, Riding High, Hammered, and Naked City.
First, Shock ‘Em, a pale rose shade, has a shimmering finish. Next, Slam, a rose gold shade, has a shimmering finish. Then, Stricken, a brown-bronze shade, has a shimmering finish. In addition, Riding High, an antique green shade, has a shimmering finish. Hammered, a blackened-red shade, has a shimmering finish. Last, Naked City, a cobalt blue shade, has a shimmering finish.
My Final Thoughts On The Nars Powerchrome Loose Eye Pigment ………
First, these shadows can be worn wet or dry. For a dry application, I recommend using your finger. In this way, the powder will apply evenly. Also, it will give you less fallout. And, one swipe of your finger will give you more pigment.
Although, if you are looking for a more metallic effect, you can use the pigments wet. Additionally, I recommend using your finger, or a brush. You’ll get less fallout with a wet application. Furthermore, the shades themselves will be even more saturated, and more metallic.
Finally, you can wear any of these shades, wet or dry, over another eyeshadow shade.
Last, I love this limited edition eyeshadow collection from Nars. Above all, I love the shades, and the intensity of the shades. So, if you are looking to glisten up, give the Nars Powerchrome a try!
