To begin with, there’s a lot I can say about the Iconic Nars Powder Blush! For one thing, the Nars Blush goes on perfectly. In addition, it has great color payoff. Moreover, the blush stays on. In other words, it is long-lasting. Also, the Nars blush is smooth and blendable. Above all, the Nars Iconic Blush comes in a great collection of colors! How could it get better than that! Well, it just got even better. The reason is, Nars just added ten new colors to their already copious collection. Finally, now with the Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors there are thirty five shades in the collection! So, if there wasn’t a shade for everyone, there is a shade for you now!!!!!
You can find the Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors at Sephora, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and on the Nars Cosmetics Website. Each Nars blush costs $30.
The Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors Packaging
To begin with, there are some new colors in the Iconic Nars Blush Collection. However, the iconic packaging is the same! First, the blushes come in the same matte black Nars box.
Additionally, the blush palette is the same matte-black palette, that feels like velvet rubber.
Inside, there is a nice mirror on one side. And, on the other side is 0.16 oz / 4.8 g of blush.
I love that these blushes are small enough to fit in your pocket. Even more, I love that they come with a mirror. For me, any product that has a mirror, is good for travel!
The Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors Formula
Furthermore, the Nars Iconic Blush Formula is the same as in all the Nars Blushes. And, we wouldn’t want it any other way!
In case you didn’t know, Nars Blush is a powder blush. Therefore, it is made with silky, superfine, micronized powder pigments, in matte, and shimmering shades.
Furthermore, the shades are soft, buildable, and blendable. In addition, the blush delivers weightless color to your cheeks. Even more, you can use it sheer, or build it to be bold. As a result, the blush is versatile.
The Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors:
I purchased four of the new Nars Blush shades.
The Shades I Purchased:
The shades I purchased are Orgasm X, Savage, Dominate, and Aroused
Orgasm X
First, Orgasm X, a deep coral shade, with a subtle pink undertone, has a golden pearl shimmering finish.
Moreover, I always loved the original peachy-pink Orgasm shade. However, it was a little too light for my skintone.
Therefore, this new shade, Orgasm X, really packs a punch. It is perfect for my complexion!
Savage
Next, Savage, a red brown shade, has a shimmering finish.
Again, Savage packs a punch. And, the red adds dimension to the brown shade.
As a result, it doesn’t look ashy on my skin. So, it is another win, win shade for my complexion.
Dominate
Then, Dominate, a deep plum shade, has a shimmering finish. Another shade that adds great color payoff!
I love plum shades, and this shimmering plum shade sizzles on my complexion.
Aroused
Finally, I purchased Aroused, a deep burgundy shade, has a satin finish. The color payoff is amazing. You have to be careful with these shades, because they are sooooo pigmented.
Therefore, if you want to wear them sheer, go in with a light hand, and a little bit of blush on your brush! Also, I love that this shade has no shimmer. So, when you wear it, you will have the most natural flush. In fact, it will look like you just walked around the block in the freezing cold, and then came back inside!
The Shades I Didn’t Purchase….Yet!
Tempted
First, Tempted, a mid-tone beige shade, has a shimmering finish.
Illicit
Second, Illicit, a peachy nude shade, has a satin finish.
Zen
Third, Zen, a neutral beige shade, has a matte finish.
Behave
Next, Behave, a pinkish-mauve shade, has a matte finish.
Thrill
Then, Thrill, a cool light pink shade, has a matte finish.
Coeur Battant
Finally, Coeur Battant, a bright cool fuchsia shade, has a matte finish.
How To Apply The Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors
First, if you want a light application, with a blush brush, start on the high point of your cheeks. Then blend toward your hairline.
Next, if you want a Richer Application, first coat your brush with color. Next, start under your cheek bone and go toward your hair line. Make sure you’re Blending upwards. Also, make sure you stop two fingers away from the corner of your mouth.
Last, find the apples of your cheeks. First, smile. Then, put an X , with your blush brush, to mark the spot where the apples of your cheeks are. And, blend the X, outwards, in a circular motion.
You can also wrap the blush color around your eyes with a blending brush. Even more, to make blush the focus of your look, go from your temples into your brows . In this way, you are shaping and framing your face.
Nars Iconic Blush Ten New Colors Last But Not Least……..
My theory is you can never have enough blushes. I love to change my blush color, depending on the color of my outfit, or the color of my mood. Also, the lipstick shade I wear is dependent on the shade of blush I choose! So, when I heard there were ten new colors of the Nars Iconic Blush, I couldn’t wait to get them! How about you? Do you wear a lot of blush? Blush and black eyeliner are two of my favorite deserted island products!!!!
