Mascara. How do you like your lashes? Me? First of all, I am not a fan of spider-lashes. Also, I don’t need to add length to my lashes because I do not like them touching the lenses on my eyeglasses. I love thick, voluminous lashes that look like falsies. Therefore, the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara does an excellent job creating dramatic, high-impact lashes. For example, the Velvet Noir Mascara Formula is the blackest shade of black. Specifically, the design of the brush creates volume. For this reason, my lashes are full and have amazing volume. As a matter of fact, my lashes look like false eyelashes without having to apply them!
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Packaging
First, I’m in love with the Velvet Noir Mascara tube. It is jet black.
Also, the mascara tube has a stylish, carved, dimensional hexagon instead of the typical, simple round tube. As a result it feels nice and weighty!
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Formula
The formula is a thick, semi-matte shade of the blackest black. In other words, even though some mascara’s say they are black, they’re not! However, this formula is jet black! The formula has super concentrated black pigments. In addition, Flash Volume Complex creates instant, smudge-proof length and volume in three strokes or less. As a result, it gives you the thickest lashes with just one sweep of the brush.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Brush
Besides a really good formula, mascara needs a really well-designed brush to perform well. There are many different types of mascara brushes. For example, the brush material can make a big difference. For example, some brushes are bristles, and others are plastic. As a result, the traditional bristle brush creates volume and fullness. On the other hand, the same brush made in plastic creates volume and separation. Also important is the design of the brush. For instance, a cone shaped brush is great for corner lashes. Additionally, a skinny brush creates lash definition. And, a jumbo brush thickens your lashes.
The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir brush is a bristle. Hence, more volume and fullness. Furthermore, the brush has a curve in the center. As a result, it will give your lashes intense, fluffy volume in the center. However, it will define the ends.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Last But Not Least…….
Marc Jacobs’s inspiration came from watching his mother, who shaved fibers from jet-black ribbon to create her own falsies. I realize that everyone has their own opinion about how they want their lashes to look. It is up to you to decide what lash looks best on you. My ideal lash is a blacker than black, dense, full, dramatic, voluminous, lash. I love high-impact! In fact, I don’t even mind a little clumpiness! Usually, I go for a jumbo brush that makes my lashes so thick they look like falsies. Unfortunately, I’ve never mastered the art of applying false lashes! As a result, a mascara, such as Velvet Noir Major Volume, is my answer to false eyelashes!!!
