Don’t you love when one makeup product can wear many different “hats”? It would make packing so much easier if you were traveling because you wouldn’t need to drag a lot of products with you; it would make applying your makeup so much faster because you wouldn’t be searching for your other products, and you wouldn’t need to keep picking them up and putting them down to grab something else because all you need would be in your hand! It would make applying your makeup a cinch! And you could do it in a snap! Mac Studio QuikTrik Stick ($32) is a double-ended , multi-tasking stick that is your highlighter on one side, and your contour, bronzer and blush on the other side.
The formula is creamy and sheer. It provides a subtle color that is very buildable. There are six QuickStix in the Collection, and each end of each stick has a different color.
The shades are:
Softly Does It and Tight and Tawny –
Softly Does It is a very light pink shimmer
Tight and Tawny is a light taupe
Bare End and Earthnut
Bare End is a light golden champagne shimmer
Earthnut is a muted medium beige
A Latte Sheen and Semi Sweet
A Latte Sheen is a light copper with gold and silver shimmer
Semi Sweet muted golden bronze
Ginger Spiked and Counterpoint
Ginger Spiked is a soft pink with fine spun gold shimmer
Counterpoint is a midtone bluish pink
Miss Cupcake and Tomato
Miss Cupcake is a soft pinky-peach with fine spun gold shimmer
Tomato is a vivid bright coral
All Aflush and Here You Go
All Aflush is a rose with copper sparkle
Here You Go is a deep reddish burgandy
I purchased Ginger Spiked and Counterpoint, and A Latte Sheen and Semi Sweet.
What I love about Mac Studio QuikTrik Sticks………is they are just that -QUICK and EASY to apply. These double ended multi-uses makeup sticks have a creamy blush/contour on one side, and a cream highlighter on the other. The highlighters brighten your face with fine spun shimmers embedded in the formula, which reflect light. The opposite side of the stick contains a color to creates shadows, or a pop of color, depending on the stick you choose. I chose the Latte Sheen/Semi Sweet QuikTrik Stick because I intend to use it as a highlighter to reflect light and as contour to chisel my cheeks. I also purchased the Ginger Spiked/Counterpoint QuickTrik Stick because I want to use the midtone bluish pink Counterpoint as a pop of color on my cheeks, and the Ginger Spiked as a highlighter or as bronzer. Whatever sticks you purchase, use them to highlight cheekbones, brow bones, cupids bow, and as an eye shadow, a blush, a bronzer and a contour to sculpt your cheekbones. They’ll certainly simplify your makeup routine. The formula feels like silk and glides on very smoothly so it is extremely easy to apply. You can not “mess it up” ( your application) because it is super blendable, and buildable! I almost forgot to mention that brushes can and should be used to apply the creamy shades.
Mac Brush 164 and Mac Brush 130 are the two brushes Mac suggests for flawless application of your QuikTrik Stick!
You Are Awesome!
