Last year, Mac’s You Are The Star Holiday Collection 2019 made you shine bright, and twinkle like a star! However, that was then! Now, the new Mac Holiday Collection is all about flashy, radiant, fireworks. And, the new holiday makeup reflects that! Furthermore, the packaging just draws you in. In fact, I think Mac wins the award for the brand with the best holiday packaging this holiday 2020 season. Although, I said the same thing last year!
In addition, like last year, the Mac Frosted Firework Collection for Holiday 2020 is wide-ranging. In other words, the collection is comprehensive. As I result, I only covered some of the highlights of the collection. First, I included the Extra Dimension Foil Eye Shadow single in two shades. Next, I purchased the Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio in Medium-Deep. Finally, I included two dual-ended Mac Powerpoint Frosted Firework eye pencils.
You can find the Mac Frosted Firework Collection Holiday 2020 at Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms,and on the Mac Cosmetics Website. Even more, the Mac Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio (0.31 oz./9g) costs $39.50. Also, the Mac Frosted Firework Extra Dimension Foil Eyeshadow Singles (0.04 0z./13g) costs $21. And, the Mac Frosted Fireworks Powerpoint Dual-ended Eye Pencil( 0.03 oz./ 1g) costs $20.
However, since the end of the holiday shopping season is near, look for big discounts for all of these products.
The Packaging For The Mac Frosted Firework Collection Holiday 2020
Extra Dimension Foil Eyeshadow
First, the Extra Dimension Foil Eyeshadow comes packaged in a frosted pink foiled box embossed with silver flares. 
Then, the compact, a pearlized icy shade of pink, has a clear window on the lid. 
Because the lid is see-through, you can see through to the shade inside. 
To open the compact,simply pull the lid up. To close the lid, push it down until you hear a click. Also, the eyeshadow features an embossed sunburst design.
Mac Powerpoint Eye Pencil
First,the Powerpoint Dual-ended eye pencil comes packaged in the same frosted pink foiled box. Although, this long rectangular box, is decorated with silver glitter flares.
Also, both ends of the eye pencil are frosted pink. However, the center of the pencil, where the two colors meet, is a pinkish silver metallic shade. On either side of the center is a colored band. Each band is the color of the eye pencil on that side of the pink/silver band. 
Finally,on either end, where the pencil point would be, is a pink metal lid. On the lid are pink glitter flares. All you need to do is pull the lid off, to use the sharpened pencil that is underneath the lid.
Mac Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio
First, the Skinfinish Trio comes in a silver box decorated with silver glitter flares. 
Also,the gunmetal compact, decorated with silver glitter, looks like frost. The compact has a magnetic closure. 
All you need to do is lift the lid up. To close the lid, let it go down, until the magnet grabs it. Inside the palette, is a nice, large mirror, under the lid. On the other side of the mirror are the three highlighters. The center highlighter is the largest of the three. The highlighter on the left is the smallest of the three.
The center is a sunburst design. The left and right shades look like fire flares.
The Frosted Firework Collection Extra Dimension Foil Eyeshadow in ‘Firewerk The Room’ and ‘Sparktacular’
The Extra Dimension Foil Eyeshadow comes in 5 shades. One is a pink shade. Two, is a metallic silver shade. And, three is a white pearlized shade. The two I purchased are a red shade, and a sheer nude shade.
To begin with, Firewerk The Room, a red shade, has a shimmering metallic finish. Also,the red shade formula includes ultra-fine sparkle. Even more, the medium pigment still gives good color payoff. 
For me,the shade looks like a frosted red, with sparkles. It glimmers. Finally it looks luminous.
The other shade, Sparktacular, a sheer nude shade, has a shimmering metallic finish. This shade is gorgeous, because the base looks transparent,. 
As a result, all you see is the luminous, shimmering glow. You can wear this shade all over your eyes. It would be stunning. And, you could wear the shimmering glow as a highlighter, on your upper cheek bones, and up to your temples. Even more, dab some on the center of your lips, on top of your lipstick!
Finally, the formula for both shades is longwearing. In fact, the brand says it is an eight hour wear formula. Also, it won’t face, or crease. It stays true to its color. And, it is sweat and humidity resistant. The one ingredient, in the formula, I am not crazy about, is carmine.
Many vegans and caring consumers choose to avoid cosmetics and food products containing an ingredient called carmine because it is derived from crushed bodies of insects. Yes, you read that right.
The red dye or food coloring is obtained from cochineal insects and it takes about 70,000 insects to produce a pound of dye.
The Frosted Firework Collection Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio in Medium Deep
Three extra – dimension skinfinish highlighters create fireworks on your cheeks! Also, the baked formula is a smooth, buttery powder. In addition, the formula is long-wearing. According to Mac, the formula lasts for ten hours. The three shades are Gold Me Closer, Desire Fire, and Call Me Sugar Plum.
First, Gold Me Closer, a warm gold shade, has an illuminating, shimmering finish. And, the warm, yellow gold shade is pigmented to create an intense color payoff. You can wear this on the high points of your face. Therefore, wear Gold Me Closer on your upper cheek bones, brow bones, inner eyes, and on your Cupid’s bow. Even more, dot some warm gold shimmer on the center of your eyelids, and on the center of your lips.
Next, Desire Fire, a medium orangey gold shade, has a luminous, shimmering finish. This shade can be worn on your cheeks. It is not as shimmery as the Gold Me Closer shade. Instead, it has more of a metallic finish. Also, this shade would look great with a tan!
Last, Call Me Sugar Plum, a cool plum-berry shade, has a metallic finish. My medium to tan complexion allows me to wear this shade as a luminous blush. Also, I like to put this shade above the crease of my eyes.
Mac Frosted Firework Collection Frosted Firework Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Zenith/Can You Chill, and Dark Spark/ Bitter In Glitter
These dual-ended powerpoint eyeliner pencils have two names. Each name if for one side of the pencil! Above all, the formula is waterproof, smudge-resistant, transfer -resistant, stays color-true, and longwearing( Mac says 8 hour weartime).
Bitter In Glitter/ Dark Spark
One side of the pencil, Bitter In Glitter, a deep plum shade, has a pearlescent finish.
The other side of the pencil, Dark Spark, a soft black shade, has a pearlescent finish.
Black is my go-to eyeliner shade. I love the way a black eyeliner can line and define your eyes for either day looks, or intense dramatic night looks. I love deep plum in the winter. It is a softer look. I love it as a substitute for brown.
Zenith / Can You Chill
First, Zenith, a deep navy-blue shade, has a pearlescent finish.
On the other end, Can You Chill, a silver-gunmetal shade, has a metallic finish.
Try a navy blue eyeliner If you are looking for a refreshing change (and tired of wearing black). It gives you a totally different effect. And it still does a great job defining your eyes. On the other hand, the gunmetal-silver metallic would look great on the inner corners of the eyes. Also, you could wear this shade as an eyeshadow.
My Final Thoughts On The Mac Frosted Firework Collection Holiday 2020…..
First,I love that this collection is flashy, glittery, and shimmery. Before I forget, there is lots more in the collection. One piece I’d really like to get my hands on is The Mac Grand Spectacular Eyeshadow X Palette. It is a limited edition eyeshadow palette with 25 shades Even more, you can’t go wrong gifting any product in the collection. The packaging is amazing.The colors are irresistable.
