Hello Week!
Happy Halloween! Let’s do spooky with Mac’s Newest Pigments – Spellbinder – Magnetic Eye Shadows !
Mac – you never ceases to amaze – ! Your newest pigments are a real winner – I believe that these are the deepest deep pigmented shadows I’ve ever seen. And they perform their magic with magnets!
“They are black ionized pigments, magnetically charge, fusing loose powder together so that it magically maintains it’s form and dimension.”
The loose powder “fuses” together . So when you turn the pot over – the pigments don’t fall out! When you put your finger in the palette, and mess up the pretty design, the minute your finger comes out – Voila – the powders go back as they originally were, sans fingerprint! How cool is that!
Each pot has the coolest pattern in the jar – an alternating thin stripe of a lighter shade than the actual color of the pigments.
The powder not only looks like velvet, it feels like velvet – I am obsessed with the way it feels! What was Mac thinking? They wanted to create a pigmented shadow, like an intense eye shadow, but in an easier to use formula.
Mac Spellbinder Eye Shadow Pigments ($22) comes in 8 mysterious blackened shades. “Hexing Hues” is how Mac refers to them cast their spell to create the most mesmerizing eyes.
The Shades are :
Blue Karma – soft greyed teal
Gravity’s Pull – dark purple
Retrograde – greyed black
and the ones I purchased are:
Mysterious Influence – rich olive green
Dynamically Charged – taupey cool bronze
Higher Power – rich deep brown
Cosmic Clash – deep green
Aphrodisiatic – rich cobalt blue
After playing with them and feeling them, I definitely want to get the other three! So Much Fun!

I am crazy in love with these shadows. I think they are so outrageously cool and innovative. They are exciting- they are definitely not the same old same old boring neutral palette !!! I love ntense pigments, I love that they feel like velvet, I even drool every time I look at these velvety creatures in their jars. The metallic finish and the blackened shades are mysterious and would create an amazing blackened smokey smoldering look – great for this time of year. I am obsessed with the way they feel when I touch them. This is vivid pigment that does not look like loose pigment. I think there is a magnet at the bottom of the jar that magically holds the magnetically charged black ionized pigments together. OK. these are still loose pigments even if you turn their jar upside down and they don’t come out! However, you can’t expect no fallout from a pigment. The fallout comes when I used my brush, or finger to get the pigment out of the jar. It is not easy to blend these shadows with other shades. I suggest you use the shadow as an all over your eye lid look. If you try to blend it out, it becomes uneven, and it is difficult to move around the eye area. Also, to put it on, tap it on instead of blending it. Pack it onto your lid. I suggest, and so does Mac, that you use their 24 hour extended eye base – it really is the best way to use them. Take your time, go from darkest to lightest with the shadow. Just remember- PRESS – pack it on. All pigments press better than blending- this is no exception. If you try to swish it around it won’t blend properly – so don’t even try it! When you PRESS it on – will just get aggravated like I did! It doesn’t make the mess a regular pigment. The packaging is way cool – I just love how interesting this shadow is! Even when I played with it in the jar, like magic they go back to their original form and pattern. Mac – you are sooooo Awesomely Cool!
xoxoxo
Have a Happy Halloween and stay safe! We can’t wait to hear all about your candy!
