Recently, I discovered the Le Marc Jacobs Liquid Lip Crayon duo hiding on my messy desk. In fact, I had purchased the Le Marc lippies before Christmas. In other words, once in a while it pays to straighten up, because you’ll never know what you will find!. Marc Jacobs Beauty created the Le Marc Jacobs Liquid Lip Crayon,a hybrid, is a cross between a traditional lipstick formula and a liquid lipstick formula. To begin with, the way Le Marc is packaged is the real game changer.
Le Marc Jacobs Liquid Lip Crayon Packaging
Again, the real game-changer is the way the Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon is packaged.
The packaging is unique for a liquid lipstick formula. First of all , the lip crayons I know ARE lipsticks. And, the liquid lipsticks I know come in a tube and have a doe-footed applicator.
Marc Jacobs, thinking out of the box, thought of a new lip innovation. He got rid of the” standard” liquid lipstick packaging.
Then, he packaged his liquid lipstick in a crayon. However, Marc’s crayon has the bottom twist of a lipstick bullet, in contrast to a crayon that needs to be sharpened.
Le Marc Jacobs Liquid Lipstick Crayon Formula
Also the formula is unique because it looks like a lipstick. Furthermore, it has a creamy crayon format. Moreover, it appears to have many of the same attributes of a lipstick. For example, it is super creamy and comfortable to wear. And, it is highly pigmented which allows for one swipe color and a bold impact. However, it melts into the lips with the sensation of a liquid lipstick.
The formula includes “ghost pearl” which gives the lips an added dimension. In addition, the subtle, shimmery effect it creates is more visible when your angles change or when you are in different types of lighting.
Le Marc Jacobs Liquid Lip Crayon Shades
There are ten shades in the Le Marc collection. I purchased Burn Notice, which is a gorgeous brick brown shade, and Plum N Get It, a rich plum shade. All ten shades have a satin finish.
Also included in the Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon collection is Blacquer, a deep black shade, Merlot Blow, a blackened burgundy shade, Fram-bois!, and intense raspberry, How Rouge!, a tomato red, Flaming-Oh an electric pink, Pink Straight, a cool mod pink, Night Mauves, a soft pinky mauve, and Send Nudes, a 90’s brownish nude. (Click here for the link for the Le Marc Collection.) Each crayon sells for $26.
SUM
The Le Marc Lip Crayon is easy to control. First, shape your lips with the crayon. Therefore, you do not need a lip liner. Then, color your lips in with the crayon. Because the formula is delicious, it will give you the smoothest application. It does take a while, about ten minutes, until it is completely dried down. Even though the formula is matte, is doesn’t make your lips dry. Moreover, it won’t settle into your lip lines.
The Liquid Lippie is supposed to last 16 hours! Well, if you stay perfectly still, don’t breathe, eat or drink anything, it might! Eating and drinking definitely shortened my wear time. However, because your lips look so beautiful, I don’t think you’ll mind having to reapply it!
