Lancome My Parisian Pastels Shimmer Cube Eye shadows and Highlighters for Spring was inspired by the Rubic’s Cube.
There are nine shimmery pastel hard pressed powder cubes that, together, create the My Parisian Pastels Shimmer Cube ($59)..
Each cube is a different pastel shade.
Each of the nine cubes are placed in nine separate, clear plastic cube-casings with their own lids.
Each Cube is removable, from the palette, and from the casing.
The cubes are numbered , each labeled at the bottom of the cubes.
Made explicit on the back of the packaging, All the numbers, one through nine, can be used on the face. Numbers 1-2-3-7-8-9 can be used on the eyes, as eye shadows and eye highlighters.
The packaging is really adorable. It is a square tin, with cover art on the lid. The drawing on the lid of the tin is whimsical, and implies femininity . It is predominately black and silver, with pastel colors . It implies Springtime in Paris!
The shades are numbered. The colors are:
1 Lilac, 2 Yellow, 3 Light Pink
4 Rose Beige , 5 Peach Beige , 6 Rose Pink
7 Light Yellow, 8 Peach , 9 Mauve
You can use the cubes individually, or blend them together for a French Chic Look! When using the entire cube as face makeup, use a flat brush, or a fan brush. Go horizontally with the brush, or swirl the brush all over the palette for use as either a blush, or a highlighter. As an eye shadow, use your fingers on the individual cubes, and apply for a shimmery finish. You can tap the cube onto your lips to get a velvety shimmer-finish.
I love the packaging, and the art on the cover of the tin.
The shadows themselves are really beautiful. They give the eyes and the cheeks a beautiful glow that lasts all day. They create glowing dimension on your face, especially when they are layered.
They are not glittery. They create more of an iridescent glow on the skin.
The shadow cubes look to me like candies in a box. I love the colors, the formula is wonderful, and the concept is new, and innovative. I really love that this palette is packaged so differently, it makes it so much more interesting and a lot of fun to use. It multitasks, because it can be used as an eye shadow, a blush, an illuminater, and even a dab on your lips turns it into a lipstick color. The pigmentation is great. The cubes are so blendable, you can blend three together, blend on the diagonal, blend across, blend vertically. Any which way you choose, you will get different, multiple colored variations. It is clever, smart and glamorous all at the same time! It screams Spring! You can twist and turn and sweep your brush and you get to create new and surprising combinations every time!
Hope you love this palette as much as I do! Let me know what you think in the comments below, or just stop by to say hi!
You Are Awesome!
