I’m always ready for a new Jouer product! In the past, I have loved Jouer’s Metamorphosis Face & Eye Palette, Rose Cut Gems Blush Palette, Tan Lines Summer Collection, Powder Skinny Dip Highlighters. And, my favorite Jouer Palette, is the Jouer Skinny Dip Ultra Foil Shimmer Eye Shadow Palette. Although, their blushers, highlighters and bronzers are amazing. What I love most about Jouer, which means “play”, is they are a clean brand. In addition, they create high quality makeup! Even more, Jouer combines the best skin care in their formulas. Finally, I love their gorgeous, wearable shades. The Jour Champagne & Macarons Face Palette is their newest release.
The new Champagne & Macarons Face Palette includes a highlighter, bronzer, and two blushers. Furthermore, the Palette comes in two colorways. One palette is the dark version. The other one is a lighter version.
The Inspiration for The Champagne & Macarons Palette
Also, the inspiration for the shades, in both palettes, comes from the Marie-Antoinette Era in France. As a result, I’m thinking back to my European History Classes. I Remember that Marie- Antoinette was chic, fashionable and high-class, in an opulent sort of way. In fact, she embodied the grandeur of the French Court. Ultimately, all that grandeur led to the demise of the French Kings. Worst of all, Marie-Antoinette was beheaded.
On a brighter note, you can find the Jouer Champagne & Macarons Face Palette at Sephora, Beautylish, and on the Jouer Cosmetics Website. Even more, the Champagne & Macarons Face Palette ( 0.56 oz/ 16 g.) costs $34.
The Jouer Champagne & Macarons Face Palette Packaging
One reason that the Jouer Face Palette only costs $34 is because of their packaging. First, the compact is cardboard. So, that saves a lot of money. Also, the palette doesn’t have a mechanism to open, and close it. All you need to do to open the palette is lift the top up. Also, there are no strong magnets to keep the cardboard palette closed. And, the palette is slim. The lid closes easily. And, the lid stays closed when you put it down. Maybe, it is weighted by the full-sized mirror inside the palette. Also, you usually don’t see a full-sized mirror in a cardboard palette. So, the mirror is a good feature.
Even more, the four pans of product, opposite the mirror, are a nice size. You get a lot of product,, for $34! I pay that for one good blush. So, you are getting a great deal for a quality product.
The Champagne & Macarons Face Palette Formula
First of all, I love that Jouer is a Clean Beauty Brand. Even more, the brand is cruelty free, vegan, and less than 1% synthetic fragrance.
Also important, there is no talc in the formula. So, what is it that makes this formula so nice? The answer is Vitamin E. For one thing, Vitamin E enriches the formula. Vitamin E gives the formula antioxidant benefits. In addition, it helps to promote healthy looking skin. Above all, Vitamin E acts as a natural skin conditioner.
Even more, the formula’s full pigment color creates the vibrant shades in this palette. More, the powders apply easily, and glide on seamlessly. The end result is a flawless, sculpted finish. And finally, it lasts all day!
The Shades In The Champagne & Macarons Face Palette
Like I said above, the Face and Cheek Palette comes two ways. First, the lighter version is called Sweet Cheeks. The shades are lighter, and lean towards nude, peach and pink shades.
I am medium complected, with dark hair and eyes. Right now, I also have a tan. As a result, I chose Cheeky Crush, the darker version of the Face Palette. And, it is perfect for me. I could probably wear the lighter palette in the winter months.
First, Skinny Dip, a golden peach highlighter, has a shimmering finish. It is a beautiful highlighter to wear on your cheekbones, brow bones, down the center of your nose, and on your Cupid’s bow. If you choose the lighter palette, you’d wear the lighter shades in the same way as I am describing the darker shades. Therefore, you would wear the highlighter, in the same places.
Next, Charm Me, a coral blush, has a matte finish. I’m a blush person. I love blush. So, I wear it on my cheeks. Also, I put a faint bit across my hairline. I’ll even put a dab on my chin. Also, I like to wear a dab on the outer part of my brow bones.
Then Tempt Me, a red blush, has a shimmering finish. This one is my favorite shade in the palette. Sometimes I need a red blush. I love it when I wear all black. Then, I wear a red lipstick.
Finally, Sungaze, a rich cocoa bronzer, has a matte finish. First, wear this as your contour, in the hollows of your cheeks. And, wear it where ever you want to add definition to your face. For example, if you want to shade your nose, place the bronzer on either side of the center of your nose. Play with the bronzer. It is really foolproof. Also, I like that this bronzer is not muddy looking. It is the perfect shade.
My Final Thoughts On The Jouer Champagne & Macarons Face Palette…….
I love this Face Palette. The shades are gorgeous. Also, the formula is not chalky. It feels silky on my skin. Even more, it is super easy to blend these shades into the skin. More important, you can wear either the lighter or the darker shades any time of year.
I’ve been taking it with me when I go back and forth to the beach. Then, all I need to bring is an eyeshadow palette, eye pencil, and mascara. And, that makes it easy to pack. Best of all, the price is right! For 4 products $34 is pretty amazing for a quality product!
