Illamasqua is an extremely successful, luxurious and avant- guard “Indie Brand” of makeup from the U.K. The summer 2016 products are beautiful, but for me the stand out is definitely “Beyond Powder” , a baked highlighting powder which is gorgeous. ‘Beyond Powder’ ($44) comes in two shades, OMG and Epic.

The highlighter comes in an easy to use black compact that is slightly larger than most powder compacts. There is a lot of product in this compact. I love how the powder looks- like an inviting pillow- you just want to touch it. It looks like liquid in the pan, and it catches the light like nothing else.
OMG – the name says it all! It is a stunning champagne color that is not too much gold or too much silver. It is great even if you have fair skin. It doesn’t go on heavy at all, and it is totally buildable. It has a light weight texture that glides onto your skin. and you can choose to apply it wet or dry. Either way it gives you a natural and radiant glow.
Epic is a warmer hue. It is more of a peachy bronze.
I like to apply either OMG or Epic – depending on which tone of highlighter I want to use- to the tops of my cheekbones for an instant shimmer. I buff them onto my collarbone and shoulders for an elegant glow, and I love dampening an eye shadow brush and using the powders to create a high shine metallic eye with an ultra long-lasting finish.
What I love about OMG and Epic “Beyond Powder” highlighters is……the quality of the powders which are finely milled and not sparkly. Instead of being sparkly, they create a gorgeous shimmery glow that is so perfect you can even wear it in the day. I like to wear the Epic gold shimmer in the inner corner of my eye. I love the stunning champagne look that OMG creates, catching the light like nothing else. I also love the high shine that both of them create. Also, they are long-lasting with a pigmented glow that has the perfect amount of shimmer. So the name suits them, they are beyond being just an ordinary highlighting powder because they will really give you spectacular results!
