Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil

EyebrowsEyes

Eyebrows are where it’s at!  Unfortunately, I have a hard time filling in and defining my eyebrows.  Furthermore, I’ve tried, and tried and tried.  I’ve even researched the Tips and Tricks For The Perfect Eyebrows.  I’m such a spaz.  For one thing, they always look too dark to me.  Therefore, my brows tend to look fake.  So, most of the time I end up wiping the eyebrow markers, pencils, etc. off.  So, when Gucci came out with the Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil, Crayon Definition Sourcils, I had to at least try one more product.

One reason I wanted to try the New Gucci Eyebrow Pencil was because it was a powder in a pencil.  For one thing, powders help give brows a softer, more natural look.  On the other hand, eyebrow pencils can look too heavy.  Also, an eyebrow pencil can leave harsher lines.  Although, Pencils are great for being precise when filling in sparse shadows with a few “hairs.”  Finally, your brows should compliment your face, and not over power your features.  Best of all, you can accomplish this with powder, instead of ink, or gel. I’m thinking it was Genius that Gucci created a Powder Eyebrow Pencil.  In this way, you really get the best of both worlds.

You can Find the Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil, Crayon Definition Sourcils, at Sephora, and on the Gucci Website.  And, the Powder Eyebrow Pencil ( 1.19 g. / 0.04 oz.) costs $32.

The Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil Packaging

To start with, the Eyebrow Powder comes in pencil form.  Although the pencil, a pale pink casing that is trimmed in gold, is dual-ended.  On one end is the eyebrow pencil. On the other end is a spoolie brush. Also, the Gucci Logo, in gold, is on the pencil. Use this brush to blend in the color of the eyebrow shade.  Even more, use the spoolie to set the brows.  One last thing, a pencil sharpener is included with the pencil.  Like any pencil, it will need to be sharpened!

The Formula For The Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil

First, the powder is light and it has a flake-free texture.  Also, the shades come in a matte finish.  Furthermore, the powder is easy to build.  So, you can create a more intense look if you want.  Moreover, the fact that this is a pencil, allows you more control.  As a result, you can be more precise when filling in, or defining your brows.  I love that the formula emulates real hair.  Then, the spoolie brush combes the color through your brows, and gives the brows a smooth finish.

The Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil Shades

Best of all, the Powder Eyebrow Pencil comes in six variations.  They are: 1 Grey Blonde, 2 Golden Blonde, 3 Light Brown, 4 Dark Brown, 5 Auburn, and 6 Ebony.  In order to pick your shade, you should go one or two shades lighter than your hair color.  So, my hair is a dark brown/ black shade.  Therefore, I chose 4 Dark Brown.  It worked well. However, I think I want to try 3 Light Brown.  The reason is, I really don’t like my brows to look like Eddie Munster!  In other words, I despise the look of thick, dark eyebrows on me.

However, on some people, a thick, dark brow looks amazing.  But, it doesn’t look amazing on me!

My Final Thoughts On The Gucci Powder Eyebrow Pencil

To begin with, if you are a beginner, or are like me, and haven’t quite mastered the art of eyebrows yet, then this powder pencil is the perfect tool for you.  First, the powder is softer, and more natural looking.  So, you won’t be shocked when you see yourself in the mirror.  Instead, you’ll look like you, with better eyebrows!  One last thing, your eyebrows don’t have to look perfect.  So, don’t worry, as time goes on, with practice, you’ll get the results that you want.  And me?  I’m going to order the Light Brown and give that a try!
