When it comes to False EyeLash Application 101, I get a D- ! I just don’t have the patience, or I am afraid of putting something so close to my lash-line, and on top of my lashes, or maybe I’m just not steady handed enough to place the lashes in the right spot, but, whatever the reason, I am dependent on mascara to create a “false lash”effect. Last weekend, my girlfriend and I went to the Sephora Fall VIB early Saturday morning ( 8:30) event to see some of the new fall launches. We didn’t see a lot of makeup, we saw some skincare, and Sephora was also presenting the newest Mascara from Dior : The Dior Show Pump N’ Volume Squeezable Mascara ($29.50).
This is no ordinary tube and brush mascara. This is cutting edge mascara, because the tube is actually flexible.
It feels rubbery to me, especially where you squeeze it. There are two impressions on either side of the bottom of the tube. In one impression, it says Dior.
On the other side of the tube, the impression says Dior Show Pump N’ Volume. You simply squeeze both impressions. This squeeze will fully load mascara onto the mascara wand’s brush, coating it with the creamy, rich formula. By pumping the tube you are also softening the mascara to create thick lashes without the clumps.
Both the brush and the formula are new and innovative to create volume ( with one layer of mascara), and really fat lashes ( with another layer!).
The brush is rigid enough to style your lashes without clumps.
The elastomer brush has flexible spikes that softly coat the lashes.
The formula is rich and creamy. When you squeeze the tube, you are softening and warming up the mascara, before you apply it to your lashes, to prep your mascara. The result is the formula becomes prepped to give you the most voluminous lashes. Squeezing warmth into the tube actually maximizes the benefits of the formula.
I realize the Dior Show Pump N’ Volume is more expensive than most mascaras. For me, it is worth the money to know that my lashes look fabulous! What are your thoughts on this mascara?
