To begin with, the inspiration for the Chanel Spring Summer 2020 Collection comes from Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer, Lucia Pica’s memory of her trip to the desert. Moreover, Lucia Pica captured her memories with polaroid photographs. In addition, she used a filter on her photos. The result created dream-like, ethereal, romantic, calm shades. The reason for this, Lucia Pica wanted to recreate her memories. Furthermore, our memories aren’t always accurate. In fact, we filter our memories when we look back. As a result, our memories appear warm and fuzzy. So, Lucia Pica captured the ethereal wind swept desert sand, meeting the desert sky. Even more, she saw how deep earth tones unite with the sun.

To begin with, Chanel’s iconic packaging includes the shiny black outer box. Also, the ingredients are on the back of the box.
Next, the compact comes in the Chanel’s black velvet pouch.
The classic compact is also Chanel Black, with Gold double C’s on the top of the compact.
Inside, the compact has a curved plastic protector that sits on top of the powder.
Even more, the iconic curved half moon brush fits neatly into the curved plastic.
The thing I love the most, is inside the compact, on one side, is a large mirror. On the other side, is the powder. I love that the powder features a sculpted mountain, in the desert, pressed into the powder.
Baume Essential in Golden Light
The balm comes in a tube.
And, the tube is a twist up, twist down, case. Moreover, Baume Essential is a glow stick. I love glow sticks, because they can be used in lots of different ways. First, use it to sculpt, and highlight your cheeks. Also, you can swipe it on your eyes. I’d even swipe it on my lips!

Eclat Du Desert Desert Dreams Illuminating Powder
To begin with, the Eclat Du Desert is a pressed Illluminating Powder. Furthermore, the powder is fine, and smooth. It is easy to apply. Dust it on the high points of your face, or where ever you want an illuminating glow. Moreover, the pigments are subtle. So, you get more glow than color. Although, the powder does shimmer. It feels like an ultra-fine cream.
Baume Essential In Golden Light
Next, Baume Essential in Golden Light has a hydrating balm formula. Furthermore, it delivers a fresh, dewy effect. The reason is it is a moisturizing glow-enhancing balm. You can use it on your face, eyes, and lips. Also, it has a smooth, silky texture, that applies easily. It glides on! Even more, it has no glitter or pearl in it. So, you get a beautiful dewy, wet glow.

The best way to describe the shade Desert Dreams is, a warm peachy shade, that has a glowing finish.

Therefore, the color is a golden bronze shade, with a dewy finish.

The highlighters are beautiful, as usual, for Chanel! I really love this new collection. First, the desert shades are perfect spring/summer shades,. The reason is, they are soft, and ethereal. In fact, I would call them dream-like. I especially love the golden bronze Baume Essential Shade in Golden Light. It is the perfect shade of bronze tan!
