Hello Week! Let’s Do This!
We have been having the worst Spring weather here on the east coast. It had been cold and rainy and just plain drab. It doesn’t feel like summer is ever going to get here. In fact, Memorial Day Weekend, summer’s kickoff, is only two weeks away. I just purchased my annual summer supply of Bobbi Brown Beach products, some oldies, the EAU DE PERFUME, THE HAND WASH, THE SHOWER GEL and a new limited edition SHIMMER POWDER.
I want to smell the intoxicating sent of these Bobbi Brown Beach products, right now, as their scents evoke, for me, feelings of warm weather, sea spray, and vacations at the beach. And we could all use a vacation about now! Let’s pretend we’re in Acapulco, or how about Capri? I’ll even take the Jersey Shore at this point. Just breathe in the notes of sand jasmine, sea spray and mandarin that recreate the happy feelings we all get when we are on the beach.
The Bobbi Brown Beach Eau de Perfume ($74) is the famous Beach scent that Bobbi Brown created over ten years ago. It smells like suntan lotion, dry sand and the smell of the salty ocean all wrapped up in a 1.7 oz. bottle of perfume. I wear this every day in the summer, because it is fresh, soft and not overpowering. And it really does smell like the beach! And in the winter months, if ever I feel down in the dumps, and like I’m needing a vacation, I put some on and it makes me feel uplifted and happy!
The Bobbi Brown Beach Hand Wash ($35) is new for me. It is a gentle skin softening hand wash. It is a gorgeous light scented version of the Beach scent, also made with notes of sand jasmine, sea spray and mandarin. Also included in the mix is sea kelp extract which softens the skin as it cleans. It comes with a pump for easy hand washing. Just pump some onto damp hands, clean and breathe in!
The rule of thumb for a signature scent is to layer your fragrance, so bathe, moisturize and then perfume yourself in Bobbi Brown Beach. I love and have for years used Bobbi Brown’s Beach Shower Gel.($35) I especially love to shower in it after I come off of the beach. This way, you get to rid yourself of the sandy, salty feeling, and still feel as if you are on the beach, only your clean on the beach. The gel is moisturizing because it is also formulated with pacific sea kelp extract which is extremely good for softening the skin. It comes in a travel-tube which is great to take with you on your great trip to….the beach!
And the newest product from Bobbi Brown Beach is a limited edition Beach Shimmer Powder.($45) It is a soft, pressed powder that gives you a bronze glow that mimics the warm radiance of a natural tan. The result is a warm color for your shoulders, neck, and decollete. It is perfect for summer’s bare skin looks. I would even wear it dusted on my cheeks, and eyes, as long as the fragrance doesn’t bother you. I think I would love it (the bronze glow) just about everywhere!
Two things I love about the Beach Shimmer Powder, it’s case is “beach bag ready”, and how could I forget, it has the light addicting scent of refreshing jasmine, sea spray, and mandarin, so you can look and smell like you’ve been on the beach!
