Holographic Packaging, Super Pigmented, Beautiful, so, naturally it makes sense that it could only be from Anastasia of Beverly Hills. Anastasia of Beverly Hills MoonChild Glow Kit ($40) consists of highly pigmented, cool toned, metallic powder highlight shades.
The packaging is holographic.
The compact contains 6 gorgeous metallic powder highlight shades that are duo-chromes.
The formula was made to go on face, eyes and body. They give the effect of a shimmering kaleidoscope. The shades can be layered together or used on their own. If you want a more amplified looking glow, apply the powder with a damp sponge, or a wet brush. The semi-opaque powders will give you buildable coverage. They feel soft, and they are very blendable.
I love the names of the shades, they sound like a Lucky Charms Cereal Commercial, where they name all of the shapes of the cereal and marshmallows that are in the box. Which leads me to another though, that this is ABH’s Unicorn Fantasy Palette. The hues in the palette are mostly blue, pink and green. The Shades Are:
Blue Ice looks white in the pan, but when it is applied on the face, it is a diamond white with an icy blue reflect. It is semi-opaque, and lightly metallic.
Star looks grey in the pan, but when it is applied on the face, it is a moonstone fusion of mint, and platinum with a silver reflect. It is soft and blendable, and has an insane, extremely metallic shine.
Purple Horse is a purple-lavender glitter with an arctic blue iridescence.
Pink Heart looks white in the pan, but when applied to the face, it is pearl-white with a pink opal reflect. It sort of reminds me of a baby pink shade. This shade is the least metallic of the six, but it has more noticeable sparkle that sits on top of the skin.
Lucky Clover looks white in the pan, but when it is applied to the face, it is a shamrock-infused gold with canary yellow reflect.
Blue Moon is a frozen blue with a silver reflect. It has a lot of shimmer and is very pigmented.
The Palette is pigmented, cool-toned, and leans towards blue shades, with a pink and a green shade. It is a daring palette. You might think that the shades are way “out there!” Highlighting, and strobing are still trending to the max. I do not think they are going anywhere soon. Think of them for a special occasion, when you are doing something that you are able to step outside of your comfort zone. Think of them as blue nail polish, when you first saw it , what did you think? Now, it is common to see. Celestial Skin Finishes, Amplified Glows, and the Kaleidoscope Effects are still trending in 2017. Metallic nails and lips are still trending. Celestial Everything is Out of This World Popular. Once I played around with these shades, they didn’t seem so intimidating. They could be worn realistically, in this world. They look very beautiful to me. I was daring enough to step outside of my box, and go for it. I am glad I did, because they look amazing on the skin, on the eyes, and parts of the body that you want to glow. Now I understand why this palette is so popular, and has all five star reviews. It is a quality, Anastasia of Beverly Hills, product that goes the distance, it is”out there” and “out there” doesn’t, no longer, seem so intimidating.
