ABH Limited Edition Mini Norvina Collection

First of all, The ABH Limited Edition Mini Norvina Collection Volumes 1, 2, and 3 are from the “Vault.” I think I only have the Norvina Vol. 4. Actually, each of the three mini palettes has nine full-sized eyeshadow shades.  As a result, you get three curated palettes, with nine shades each, which equals  27 full-sized shades. Above all, the collection was launched for the holiday season 2020. Therefore, this made a great gift for all the makeup lovers. Three palettes, with full-sized shadows, means you are also saving a lot of money. Luckily, the palettes are still for sale.  Hence, if you don’t have any of these palettes, you can still get the collection for yourself.  Also, buy a few and save for gifts.

You can still find the Mini Norvina Collection Vols. 1, 2, and 3 at Sephora.  Also, Beautylish has the individual mini palettes, each palette costs $29.  Sephora sells the Mini Norvina Collection , Vol.1, 2, and 3.(0.35 Oz. 1 g/ Each / X 3), costs $49.  In addition, doing the math, if you were to pay full price for three of the palettes, it would cost $87.  Therefore,if you were to break down the Norvina Collection Palettes in the Collection, each palette would cost approx $15 and change. So, you are saving approximately $14 plus change.

The Mini Norvina Collection Packaging

To begin with, the three mini Norvina Palettes come packaged in a large, lavender, rectangular box. Windows, cut out of the front of the outer box, allows you to see the each box that holds the mini shadow palettes. Inside the shadow box is the palette, with the same design as the box,on the lid.  Also, the compact lifts open.  However, you may feel some resistance. The reason is the compact has a magnetic closure. Inside, underneath the lid, is a large mirror.  On the other side ,  nine pans holding nine curated, full-sized eyeshadows.

Find Out What The Difference Is Between Pressed Pigments and Eyeshadows

For one thing, the eyeshadow formula include synthetic substances, binders and fillers.  As a result, you need to build an eyeshadow.  Also, eyeshadows don’t last forever!  On the other hand, Pressed Pigments are natural minerals.  And that is it!  They don’t add ingredients to the pigments.  However, Cosmetic Brands use dyes in their pressed pigments to create color.  As a result, the cosmetic companies can’t call dyed pressed pigments eyeshadows.  In fact, the FDA has a list of dyes that are restricted from use in the eye area.  Therefore, the company has to give you a warning !

Another difference between eyeshadow and pigments is it is common for pigments to stain your skin.  And, red, pink, and purple pigments are the ones that stain the most..  Norvina’s palettes include red, pink and purple shades. Therefore, the company has to give you a warning !  And, they do!

Moreover, Eyeshadows have a lot of pigments in them.  However, most likely, you won’t use a pigment the same way you would use a regular eyeshadow.

In addition, Pigments have a burst of color.  Therefore, you’ll most likely need a smaller amount of pigment compared to a regular eyeshadow.

Also important, if you have sensitive eyes, you need to avoid your immediate eye area.  For example, do not get super close to your lash lines.  In this way, you will avoid unnecessary itching and redness.

Finally, dyed pressed pigments are not a life or death hazard by any means.  Although, better to be careful than sorry!!!

The Eyeshadow Formula

Finally , the formulas give you good color payoff.  Also, the colors easily blend together.  The formulas feel silky and buttery.  There is some kick-up from the pans, which is expected since you are using pigments without binders.  However, there is little to no fallout on your eyes when you are applying the color. Last, the pigments are dyed, and they’ll  stain your skin.  The mattes are creamy, pigmented, and easy to apply.  And, the shimmers are vibrant, and pigmented.  Magnifique!  Finally, the colors are long-lasting!

What I love is the formula is cruelty free, and Vegan.

How To Apply The Shades in the Mini Norvina Collection

One way to wear the light shades is as a highlighter.  For example, highlight the inner corners of your eyes.  Also, highlight your brow bones.  Even more, according to the brand, all the shades can be applied to the face, and the body.  As a result, the Norvina Vol. # has a white iridescent shade, Row A, shade 1, which would make a great highlighter on your cheekbones!

Next,the shades with medium intensity should be worn to contour and transition color for a blended finish.  Therefore, to contour, wear the shade in your crease, then transition the shade above your crease, to blend  and finish your look.

Last, wear the deepest shades to line your eyes, and add definition.  First, line your lower lash lines. Also, define the outer corners of your eyes.

My Final Thoughts on the Mini Norvina Collection, Vol. 1, 2, 3…….

First, reread what I said about pressed pigments in the formula section.  It is important to recognize that they can stain your skin.  Also, you shouldn’t wear them too close to your eyes. Otherwise, I love the shades in all three palettes.  After playing with them, I realized how beautiful they are!  Last, these are gorgeous palettes.  Therefore, before they are gone, if you collect eyeshadows, get one!  You can’t beat the price!
