Welcome to our blog!

Are you having a bad face day today?  Do you think you’re not  looking so great?  When you are not looking your best we bet you are feeling tired, sad, depressed, sick or you’re just feeling YUCKY! We can help you.  First we’d like to give you some good old fashioned advice. “GO..Put on Some Lipstick!  Now look at yourself in the mirror! We know you are FEELING BETTER ALREADY!

We are like most mother and dogters – we do have some…. challenging… you know….times.  ALWAYS we agree on …  Makeup!  ‘Makeup The Magnificent’ can do amazing things for you. Let the magic begin, you   need to apply a little lipstick, blush, and/or  mascara to your face, and in an instant…. poof!  You’ve just put your best face forward!  And already you’re feeling better,  you’re feeling confident, and you have good self esteem!  You are the empowered woman you should be. Makeup has been performing this magnificent magic transforming and empowering women for over three thousand years!  Not too many trends last that long!  

We are passionate about our makeup and skincare!  We can’t think of anything more fun than playing with our arsenals of makeup and skincare products!  Is our favorite passion your favorite passion?  Or not! We understand exactly where you are coming from.  Makeup can be complex, costly and confusing. There are so many brands it’s difficult to know which one to choose .  Skincare is just as confusing, the technology is constantly changing and new fads frequently appear on the scene.

Purchasing the right products can also be time consuming.  The sales “experts” behind the counters  push a brand because  they are paid to sell it, or they need to meet their sales quotas, and don’t forget- they make big commissions on what they sell.  We help you decide what is right for you. We love doing the legwork, the research, and the testing, We personally foot the expense on the vast selection of products we try.  And because we try them – you don’t have to! You will never again have to make an investment that ends up in the trash. 

For women who are not fans of makeup let us give you some good advice –you should always put your best face forward. We’re sure you know that.  Most woman want to put their best face on .  We think you just don’t know how to go about it!  You need to  trust us when we say that makeup is not what you think it is! It’s not about frivolous accouterments for vain women and products that are wasteful.  Makeup is definitely not about how you look for other people!  Did you know that applying lipstick can instantly change your day?  Makeup has the power to lift up your spirits.  Makeup is how you draw attention to the things you love about your looks.  But, it also lets you change the features you’re not so crazy about.  Now, if you do not believe in the power of makeup, why don’t you give yourself five extra minutes in the morning to put some blush and lipstick on, and watch it change the way you feel about yourself– all day!  The confidence you feel with a little makeup on is worth the price of admission.  Maybe you’ll try something that is out of the ordinary for you?   How about a new shade of blush?  You may have your signature lipstick, the one you wear that makes you feel comfortable and identifiable.  BEING A LITTLE BIT VAIN IS MORE THAN A LITTLE BIT O.K.

We are not makeup professionals, nor are we skincare experts. What we do know is which products have the magic, the colors, the formulas, and the ingredients that are right for you.  We love a challenge and everything we love, or not love, is based on our own experiences. We swatch colors for you, we use everything ourselves, and Sylvie  takes lots and lots of pictures for you. We look for skin care products that protect your skin, fight free radicals, and combat the signs of aging. We have been helping our friends and family for years. 

We really do play in the makeup playgrounds (also called Department Stores).   We search the beauty websites for more new, and more unusual, and yes we are obsessed, especially when we find it! 

We are not just “girls who want to have fun” with makeup!  We believe that knowledge is your power.  You need to know more about what you are using and what these products are doing for you. Looking at product ingredients and learn what they are and how they work.  This is really important to us. We include this information in our blogs when it is pertinent. (Especially when we write about skincare products). 

 We entertain you with our Potpourri of Whatever –the whatever being everything else that make our lives and your lives interesting and exciting.
